Upper peninsula. Town west of Marquette (Lake Superior, mid-state). Population 45xx-ish.

Misbecky, we will see how our Beetle survives the first winter.

Kyzera, your house looks almost like our new home. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: But without the pecan trees. We’ve plenty of pine trees.

Now to get the plans for a roll-off-roof observatory. Bortle 4, whee!!!

Edit: I want to say thanks to all those that helped provide insights into this process. :hugs:

You should get lots of Northern Lights shows up there, too.

Now I just need to become a Michigander again.

Oh, I’m a waiting for that. We close 9/9. The equinox are a popular times for the northern lights show.

Well, you know where to find me come September.

Hey Teuf, we should get together and shake ‘unbitten’ hands before I head out? :poodle:

Would i be categorized as ‘extra’ if for my birthday I requested both a German chocolate cake and ‘Germanchökolätekäke®’ ice cream from Coldstone?

I ask as someone too old to understand the hip lingo of today’s youth (several that I know have asked me to please stop trying).

Embrace age. With age comes an intimate understanding and ability to not care what others think.

Get em both. And enjoy and revel in the delicious gluttony that will surely ensue.

Hey handy dandy SFA friends. Do you know if by chance there is plans to make it so we can check on our own how many posts we need to read to advance tl?

It would be nice, though i imagine i need like 10k haha. Would still be nice to be able to check ourselves without having to bother you all.

I’m not aware of any plans to update the forums to allow for that, no. There are any number of bug fixes, new and updated features that are being worked on as bandwidth allows though, so you never know.

Going on the menu for this weekend…

Philly Cheesesteak Mac & Cheese

for the mac:
1 pound (450 grams) elbow macaroni, cooked
2 green bell peppers, thinly sliced
2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
1 large yellow onion, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ½ pounds (680 grams) sirloin steak, thinly sliced

for the cheese sauce:
2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
8 ounces (225 grams) cream cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 ounces (340 grams) shredded provolone

DIRECTIONS
Sauté the peppers and onion with the olive oil over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes, until caramelized. Add the steak and cook for 5 minutes.

Make the cheese sauce: Warm the milk in a saucepan over medium heat, then add the cream cheese cubes and whisk till smooth. Next, add the butter, salt, and garlic powder and put it on low to medium heat. Once the mixture comes to a simmer, reduce heat to low and add in grated cheese. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until it’s slightly melted and whisk until it’s smooth. Cook until the mixture is a thick sauce. Stir in the macaroni and fold in the sliced steak mixture.
