It’s definitely not summer-like here. A cold north wind and rain off and on the last few days make it feel like late autumn.

Man has it been a long week! My youngest (16) had surgery on thrusday to correct/straighten his foot. He is at the Stollery and because we don’t live in the city (2-3hrs away) they have a cot beside his bed for me to stay with him… but it is the most uncomfortable thing ever lol. My back is soo sore and until his pain is managed they won’t let him leave

Yesterday was only warm instead of hot, and it was 37 (3C) when I came to work at 5 today and 61 (16? C) now. This is the first time it’s cooled off properly this fall. I can tell people are making chili because we (grocery where I work) ran out of oyster crackers.
Alas, it’s supposed to be back to 87 (30C) for the high on Wednesday. Sigh.

Fired up the central heating this morning, it sure got chilly last night. It’s a welcome respite from the past 3 months of 100+ degree temps.

Sigh my mom has covid i have similar symptoms havet taken a test yet.
Nothing like the smell of a furnace fired up for the first time this season. I did the same thing.
I have tested negative a week ago, but the cough just won’t go away. Other than that I feel okay. Good luck with it.
