FedEx? FedEx never knocks here. USPS, UPS, DHL, hell, even Amazon… no issues. All I’ve ever got from FedEx is sticky notes saying “Sorry we missed you! Here’s where to go to claim your package.”
Where did the other 8 go?
Also:
Them: Would you like to eat 12 boiled eggs?
Me: NO, I couldn’t possibly eat that many boiled eggs.
Them: What if we cut them in half and mix the yolk with mayo and mustard?
Me: Next time, lead with that.
Bowling went well last night - we took three out of four game points, and six of nine “above average” points. So we should hold on to first place. I didn’t contribute like I should have (only one game above average). Still, it was fun at least, and that’s the important part (alongside winning, of course ).
And it’s cold again, though I’d be hard pressed to prove it, since I figured the extra hour’s sleep was worth it. It might help. The coffee, on the other hand, will help (it had better, if it knows what’s good for it!).
I have nothing planned today, beyond work, so I might have to get some WoW time in; I’m a mite behind on things there. Everyone’s got gear, but I would like to get some stuff from Remix.
Anyway… time to start getting prepped for work. Have a great day!
/Dashes in and fill the giant coffee vats with hot, fresh coffee. Tidies the lounge, throws some more wood on the fire then restocks the firewood. Fluffs pillows and warms blankets. Sets out bacon, eggs, toast, butter/spreads, cinnamon rolls, donuts, and fresh fruit.
Two stressors today:
The SQUISHING test.
The costs for transmog to slots in the new Transmog system are 400-500x higher than retail + you pay for the outfit slots per char. I have ISSUES with the costs feeling very very high for someone who changes something nearly every time I log in. RP and heavy transmog users are not happy. It is great for set and forget - it will mog the slot not the item so updating gear means no more transmog visits. Not good for me though. The costs feel punitive for a heavy transmog user.
Also, at this point the transmog pricing structure changes have completely depleted any hype for the expansion because it destroys my personal end game. I did the math, and it would have taken between ~880,675 gold (if I had made no mistakes) to ~1,048,575 gold (with the mistakes I made and had to redo from scratch) to make the GIF I made during pride month last year as an extreme example of (145-171) full outfit changes.
I spend around 800 gold per transmog, and I swap a lot. For RP events, chilling in the city, certain enviorments…It’s really expensive, really fast.
I’d rather pay a flat sum to always be able to switch to that outfit, but, I’m also of the mind that transmog shouldn’t cost anything…At all? Why are we paying a premium for appearances with no in game benefits? Why is this such a precious thing that we need to build a gold sink around it?
Don’t get it.
Anyway! Hope you all are doing alright. Money is certainly becoming an issue again, thankfully resolved an issue where they charged the wrong insurance and were going to foot me for the bill.
Not sure how I’m paying next month’s bills. Time off WoW is certainly on the table which Xs out most of my social interaction, but that’s just how it goes. I guess I’ll worry about that next month because I’m out of money.
Don’t really want to ask the family for money because they have enough things to pay for. They already had to bail my sister out for so much garbage and it cost so much (and I don’t think they even got so much as a thank you) and put them through so much. I don’t want to add to that.
I made a post in the t3 Lounge about a WW1 calvary sword we got from my father-in-law. It had writing that we thought was German so we asked Jonas if he could read it. I have never seen so much activity there.
They found out it is French, where it was made and the year. They all went on an internet search. It’s amazing what they came up with. I have to get more pictures of other markings on it for them to search further. I guess I gave some people something to do and they ran with it! It’s been fascinating so far.
