Dang theres a realy good remind to set your outa office replies that i came across on FB id post it since its realy clever but it uses very colorful language in the end.

Can we not, please? There are people who have been waiting for the whole thing to release to watch. Iā€™d rather not have to avoid yet another page.

So many people are in tears over the episode. Itā€™s so awesome seeing so many adult nerds cry in joy.

IM trying to be as vague as possible if it helps.

Iā€™m ā€¦ that one person who has never seen the show. /ducks

Iā€™ll get drawn in, I am sure. Always working on that backlog of ā€œshows to watch.ā€

My wife never watched ST: Deep Space Nine so we are working on that and itā€™s currently taking up all our TV time; gonna show her Voyager when we are done. She liked ToS and loved Next Gen, so sheā€™s in for a treat. Then we both need to catch up on Mr. Robot and Shameless. In-between all that we stay current with Bobā€™s Burgers. :grinning:

Thatā€™s just the top of the list. If I dropped WoW completely we might make some headway.

Christmas shopping done for this year.

Iā€™ve got time. Between starting a new job, the monstrous drive to get home (flying ends up taking about the same amount of time with layovers, etc.), and some vague whisperings about a ā€œhealth issueā€ - not sure what thatā€™s all about, Iā€™ve been staying away from the news  , my family has decided to move the get together to May.

Hopefully by then, weā€™ll all have the vaccine and wonā€™t have to worry too much about it.

Same here. Just finished it the other day. Spent close to $1,000 on gifts this year. Hoping everyone likes their gifts I got them.

Actually, Iā€™ve never seen this show and may never see it. Also havenā€™t yet seen any GoT because I was waiting to finish all the books before watching any of the adaptations (that hasnā€™t exactly worked out as planed). I tend to see at most two movies a year, and other than Netflix and Pandora I donā€™t watch anything on-line that charges. I do waist a lot of time on YouTube though; and, being a Luddite, I still spend a lot of time reading.

Same here. Havenā€™t seen The Show, and really have no desire to.

As for GoT, I have a hard enough time getting into the audiobook. I imagine the show is a bit faster moving, butā€¦

I only have Prime - canā€™t watch any of these shows if I wanted to.

Same here, basically. Iā€™ve seen some, but fell behind in watching it around season three; lately Iā€™ve wanted to re-do the entire thing, so itā€™s on that proverbial ā€œwaiting listā€ I mentioned.

So do I! Working my way through the Riftwar saga right now - Iā€™m on book thirteen (I think). I read the first book, Magician, a few times when I was a little kid. I actually wasnā€™t even aware there were any more than three books in the series until a couple years ago when a friend mentioned Feist. When I realized there are 30-some in the series overall, I decided to burn through it.

I love old classics like The Count of Monte Cristo and Three Musketeers (I like most of what Dumas wrote), Moby Dick, Don Quixote, stuff like that. Most of what Jules Verne and Arthur Conan Doyle wrote, too. So much still to be explored (that darn ā€œlistā€ again.)

David Mitchell is probably one of my favorite modern-day authors. (ā€œCloud Atlasā€ is his most known, 'cause of the movie. ā€œUtopia Avenueā€ is his latest.) I find his work quite amazing. His books have a lot to do with threads of time, sometimes loosely following a character through multiple books, hundreds of years of existence and many different ā€œlives.ā€

Keeping with that motif, he actually wrote a book that got buried in a time capsule - it wonā€™t be made available until 2119. I find the existence of such a thing quite intriguing, though obviously neither I nor anyone I know will ever experience it. Perhaps it contains characters Iā€™ve loved for many yearsā€¦ who knows? Mind-trip indeed.

I know at my work place itā€™s about 3 days but we put in a big buffer as weā€™re about to go on Winter break

Day one on my trek to get Blanchy. I have all the stuff, it just takes 6 days and the group finder. Or a lot of patience. :racehorse:

Well was gonna get my wife a nice purse for Christmas. She always buys a purse at Target or Walmart or something. Was gonna get her a Coach or something along those lines.

Came home from work today and some things she had ordered came in. Apparently a purse was one of those things. Her response when I said damnā€¦

I donā€™t want you to buy me a purse. A purse is a personal choice. Yeah pretty sure you would not have been terribly personal with the choice I was looking to make but you do you. Looking for excuses to complain and yell at me anyway so whatever.
