Front is mowed. Back is mowed. Garage floor is cleaned of all the crap that has accrued since I did it last fall. I am done. Falling asleep watching Critical Role right now, I am exhausted.
Wife is out doing the shopping for grandma right now. Both boys school work is done for the day. They are not officially on distance learning yet, but the school sent work home with youngest anticipating, and the eldest has a laptop issued by the school anyway where his teachers can post assignments. Distance school officially starts for them after next week, but it is good to keep youngin in the habit of doing work so we keep him doing it.

a supermarket in the next town over had to evacuate today. apparently someone tested postive for covid and the place got shut down. ._.
i had a fear, that this virus wouldn’t just force people to self isolate/quarantine, let alone practice social distancing, but also shut down businesses like restaurants, thus forcing take-out/delivery/drive-thru only…but to shut down places that people need for supplies and such?
sadly, the people have no one to blame but themselves, for helping this plague spread even further. by refusing to self isolate, let alone practice social distancing, they’re only causing the problem to get worse…pretty soon, the entire province will be on lock down, and no one will be allowed to venture outside their homes.
also, i’m $10 short of buying animal crossing, despite buying $70 in credit and having $10 already on my account. flails at Canadian pricing/taxes
…its alright though…i just gotta wait an extra day…or two…or…three, for the funds to go through on my CC and i’ll give it another go. eye twitches

One of our drivers called the store this morning to say he has symptoms. Knowing the person, I have my doubts. If it’s genuine, it means we’re closed and all employees have to self-isolate for two weeks.
Can’t wait to get to work this afternoon. The GM is a 40-year-old smoker who is convinced he will die if he becomes infected (yet doesn’t seem to be doing anything extraordinary to reduce his risk).

Joking aside, wife just got home from her errands. God bless grandma she said I don’t need the tp if it is taking from you. It isn’t we bought it specifically for you. I still have a case and a half from Sam’s haha.
Wife had a change of heart. Not sure if she looked into rhe stimulus or realized how she sounded, but she said we can discuss a new computer IF we don’t need to dip into that money to survive.
I am an essential worker and she just got notice they are expected back on the 20th and will be paid til then as normal so here is to hoping.
I don’t want anything outrageous. I want a good gpu, and a good SSD. Thinking 1000 for the machine and it will last me another 6 plus years like this one is. I just want to play newer games and not lag.
She was like you barely play wow now. Yeah but i want to play lots of other games I never even consider due to the comp being so old.
So that made me happy. Now she gets steak and eggs for lunch, which is what she wanted for breakfast, but I was not home.

On a serious note, are you having trouble getting food for you work place? We’ve had a few of our favorite restaurants close their take outs because they can’t get enough food. I’s hate to think the oldsters won’t get good stuff.
Luckily no, we have not had too much issue. As a corporate entity, we have 40 plus homes in the state, so that gives us some pretty solid negotiating power with the vendor.
For example, remember about what, 5 years back or so when eggs were on an extreme shortage, and it was next to impossible to find shell eggs due to I think Chicken Flu? They never faced a shortage because they negotiated to make sure they had access to shell eggs. I guess the buying power of their account gives them that luxury?
Though Tuesday will be interesting. NO outside vendors are allowed in the building anymore. So our driver will have to unload outside the kitchen door, and I will have to bring it all in. I am very much not looking forward to this. Like at all. If it is our normal driver, he will let me use his handtruck. He will load it up let me take it in drop the load off and bring it back to him for the next load.
As to eggs and steak…yeah our grocery store was relatively well stocked when I went today. I was actually surprised to be honest. Some things, like Ramen were picked pretty clean, but they had a lot of stuff. So I picked up a Sirloin Steak for muh baby. And I grabbed 4 dozen eggs, because, well they were on sale for 78 cents a dozen so why not haha.

Yeah they are taking this VERY seriously. As of yesterday all food is coming from the kitchen. All tables have been moved out of the dining rooms so there is no need for us to use the steam tables in the dining room. We just moved one of the big steam tables back into the kitchen to keep food at temp.
Everything is on disposable dishes. Paper cups, plastic cutlery kits, etc. They push the cart down the hall, take the food off the tray, the tray never enters the room. This way we limit what exposure there is in the kitchen area. They bring the tray back to us we wash it and we are done. They throw the trash away.

LOL, I had to close my bedroom door to keep my brother’s cat out while I work. He’s fixed, but acting up a lot like he knows it is spring and he wants at the lady meows.

The joys of being an adult. Included in my “what would you do if you won a massive lotto jackpot” tends to be long-term a cook/housekeeper employee. (A relationship just to have a partner who does that isn’t as cost-effective.

edit: i feared i was gonna crash later on in the day, and despite me having a snooze earlier in the day, i’m feeling extremely tired and ready to crash…and it’s only a lil before 5:30 in the afternoon. =_=
i may need to do something to keep me awake just for a while longer. ordered a pizza earlier…only to forget to change tomato sauce to alfredo, and apparently, when i chose 5 cheese, it chose the 5 cheese with bacon…and while i’m normally big on bacon, having it inside a 5 cheese stuffed crust isn’t all that great. .-.
