I slept until 820 and it was GLORIOUS. Even my wife was telling me to grt over it towards the end of yesterday. I wish u could out it in words sk she could understand. But I dij t want her to know a lot of what she sees is a front on my part s ok she doe snot panic and stress out even more. She is already really stressed out over this. I am tryi g not to add tk it. But itnis wearing on me.
Anyway after a full solid night’s sleep we shall see how I feel today.
in a similar position, though it’s more personal reasons than anything. i’d rather not go out, unless i have to…and i’m starting to get a little unnerved by it, hence my desire to get Animal Crossing tomorrow, so i’ll have a compelling reason to stay home. .-.
yeah, i was planning on having my Jack Daniels ribs, but that likely won’t be happening this year…and mostly because, people continue to ignore the “social distancing” decree, even with law enforcement issuing hefty fines for those who ignore said decree.
It’s just a matter of the supply chain catching up to the hoarders. Considering everything we are seeing, I hope managers don’t fall into the bullwhip phase of ordering material. We shall see.
Sadly, I don’t see the supply chain catching up any time soon. Panic purchasing is deep in effect right now, and I don’t see that subsiding any time soon unfortunately.
I truly, honestly hope that I am wrong in this however. I just deeply fear I am not. That said, every time I travel to Sam’s I will look for a case of
Fortunately for us our BJs had a really good price on twelve packs of TP shortly before this all started, and although we didn’t need it the price was too good to pass up, it doesn’t spoil, and we had plenty of storage space for it.
Yes Mast. Panic buying should not be confused with the bullwhip effect. That’s what I hope managers ‘get.’ Look up the ‘beer game,’ in regards to product distribution. In normal times, a very interesting concept.
Well, I managed to convince some of my friends in MI to play AoE2 later. I played a quick solo game so I don’t look completely noob.
Me, too. I was so sad when Netflix lost it and Everybody Loves Raymond. Those two were my go to shows when i was feeling overwhelmed/down. My favorite episode was Last Night Gus. That shootout scene in Gus’ living room gets me every time.
Something just occured to me costco sometimes sells switch xbox and ps4 games my mom is going to get some cough syrup for me i asked her to see if they have AC or doom eternal for either switch or ps4.
well…got Blacksmithing to 300, so Classic’s done for that. Mining’s at 295/300, so i’ll have to wait until the Darkmoon Faire opens on the 5th, to get the last 5 points i need, before i continue with Outland mining. my DK’s only lvl 73 and i don’t feel brave enough to venture into Molten Core to farm a measly 5 points. ._.
i should check on my original DK though and see what i can do with him. haven’t played him in a while, and he’s only lvl 101, so if he’s still got Archaeology to do, i might be able to eck out enough exp to hit lvl 110…he’s Frost spec, and i really should’ve gone with Unholy honestly. ;-;
Saturday night, I removed several just-expired salads from our prep fridge. Bagged them up and set them aside in the walk-in for the team to take home. Sunday, the GM put them back in the prep fridge and continued to sell them. Monday morning, the asst. manager who opened finally put them in the dumpster.
Today, I get a text from another driver telling me that the GM is discouraging team members from cancelling undeliverable credit card orders. The GM holds the opinion that it’s ‘on the customer for not answering the door/phone’. To me, that’s theft. I’ve contacted the franchise’s director of operations to make him aware and ask for policy clarifications on both issues.
I’ve never been so disappointed being considered essential. I could use a two-week break from the mess my workplace has become.
I rank as an extroverted introvert, so the introvert side of me is really enjoying it. My team has always been cross-location between Irvine and Austin so we haven’t had any issues with communication. My commute is fantastic and I get to cook a lot more with that extra time back.
I hope everyone is doing okay and getting by. Remember, there are others who require a bit more socializing to feel normal, and quarantine is more difficult for them, make sure you reach out and let folks know you are there.
