CRZ should not exist in cities

I understand you want to populate the world, even though I hate this whole cross realm zone idea but come on… for the love of God remove it from Faction Cities. It’s not ok to walk around SW or Org and see people from every realm there.

Remove it from queued content as well. I hate seeing people in instances that I’ll never see again. If every player I met queuing for Battlegrounds over 11-years were players from my server the WoW experience would have been so much richer and I could hit them up to this very day and see if they want to go kick it and do something.

Could you imagine how dead your city would be though without it right now?

Editing this because for some reason everyone thinks I’m advocating for it. I don’t and am pointing out the fact that his realm would look dead or empty without it.

Depends on the server.

I have always been an advocate for server consolidation rather than the excessive cross-realm stuff Blizzard has done to death, but consolidating servers looks very very bad, so it’s not something they will do.

If CRZ didn’t exist for cities depending on your server they would ether cause tons of lag due to lots is players jammed in the same hub, or look empty as hell because it wouldn’t be populated enough.

LFD/LFR kind of needs it in order for it to work reliably, without it lower pop realms would have ridiculous queue times while higher pop realms would be the same. In the end it’s just a lose-lose situation.

So you want like 10x queue times… got it

Why is this not ok?

I for one like seeing other players alongside with me in this online MMO.

And then BG’s queues would become ridiculous.

Just remove CRZ in general.

I had a leveling dungeon group in Stockade today. Our tank had no idea what he was doing, he was fury warrior but queued as a tank, had no idea to manage aggro, but thing was he was legitimately new, or at least he said he was. I tried guiding him around even though he constantly went in the side rooms, pulled bosses along with regular mobs, had me healing myself more than him because he was generating no threat etc.

I’m of the opinion that I should help people like that tank instead of insulting him like others in the group were. He eventually left, and under a system with no CRZ I would be likely to get him again and be able to help him, right? I can’t with CRZ because he’s from Aegwynn and I’m from Moon Guard, so I’ll never see him again.

Not if Blizzard actually makes room in the server list and prunes a lot of the inactive servers out. It’s not WotLK-Cata. We don’t need as many servers as we have now.

Aren’t cities sharded as well?

I play on Area 52 and on Alliance I play on Stormrage. Why do my realms have to prop up dead realms to give people the illusion their realm isn’t dead? I know server communities are pretty much dead but is it really necessary to destroy them even further? At least high pop realms are somewhat viable but now apparently they can’t have communities either.

And maybe some people who play on dead realms prefer not seeing anyone in cities? At least it would be a realistic account of their realm.

Maybe not, but regardless that’d still inhibit queue times, and for what? Your issue with the bad tank was anecdotal at best, as I don’t think it’s a problem pertaining to CRZ so much as a flat-out newb tank. They’ll learn on their own when they realize they can’t actually clear content effectively unless they actually tank properly. That, or they figured low-level dungeons with heirlooms can be facerolled.

So your solution to reducing queue times. Either stopping others from dead servers from queueing or merging servers and increasing queue times even more so… 200 iq

I think everyone would say this is a better summation of players sentiments on this “feature”.

CRZ should not exist.

CRZ should not exist ANYWHERE.

Unfortunately it’s like you said, all an illusion for the “dead” realms. Best they can do is combine dead ones together to eliminate crz

Don’t merge the servers. Kill them. There’s no point for them to exist any more. Give people from dead servers the ability to transfer to any server that isn’t, and keep their characters in a state of limbo until then.

It’s an MMORPG. People can choose to play it alone if they want, and it’s a shame if they’re on a server that was once thriving but is now dead, but people on active servers shouldn’t have to suffer through not being able to better foster their communities through LFG because there’s servers with ten or so people playing on them.

It still causes the same flooded problem, and creates longer queues when u migrate those people…

I think CRZ should just be scrapped all together and instead link some more low pop realms together. Its not as much of an issue now as it was when retail was actually popular but for awhile it was horrible trying to level fighting with dozens of players from different realms for quest npcs.

Outdoor content is designed to be soloed now. There is no reason you should have to group with other players to do solo content so why do we need CRZ? If nothing else make it something you can toggle off and on. I bet you they did that most people would toggle it off.

What good is seeing people I can’t trade with? They might as well be NPCs like those “adventurers” they’re using to make the portal rooms seem active.
