So i was just riding around on my trusty hawkstrider when i ran past a group of enemys and they managed to dismount me. One of them was a sort of zombie bear. I thought it strange because i hadnt seen him in that area and of course being surounded by 3-4 enemies i didnt really have time to figure out what was going on so i killed him and thought nothing of it. Was aboutt to pass up the tear when i noticed the 25g sell price and was like dang i wonder if i can farm this area for that it has to be a nearly impossible drop rate at this level. So i did a little research on it because i didnt know if it was worth more in the ah and realized i did a pretty bad thing so i guess my question is how deep is it really that this happened do these things spawn often? Am i going to piss off all the hunters in my server? Is this particular pet even a good one? Was around the shadol’watha area
Don’t worry about it. I mean, if you know that a mobs main purpose is for hunter pets, and you can avoid getting in combat with it, then it’s nice to try and avoid it. (And, honestly, if there aren’t any hunters in the area, most people won’t blame you for killing it on purpose for the gold.) However, it’s really not that big of a deal. The really desirable pets will usually have hunters already camping them, so you’re unlikely to accidentally kill them. The bad thing would be if you saw a hunter trying to tame a pet and you killed it while they were taming. That’s the jerk move. (Also, don’t try to do anything to help a hunter you see taming a beast, as it will likely screw them up. Don’t buff or heal them or do anything to the pet they are taming.)
Just because it’s a hunter pet spawn, doesn’t always mean it’s desirable by most hunters. Things however, could get serious if you were to kill a spirit beast and god help you if you were to kill Loque’nahak,
