Does it matter what spec I’m running the instance as to have a chance at getting this drop from the final boss? For example; can I run it as shadow, holy, or disc? Or do I have to run it as Disc?
I got it as disc but it shows for all specs so I’m assuming it’s everything.

How many runs did it take you? I’m on about attempt number 15 now.
yeah i have it and use it. It works for all specs. In dungeons it does about 9% of my dps and 4% of my healing.
probably 7 runs. its total RNG which sucks.

Did you go with that vs the penitent one? How do you find the benefit? Because the penitent one is honesty doing really well for me in a quick burst on either a direct heal or as atonement. It’s a great oh poop handle tbh.
I was worried crystalline wouldn’t constitute enough of a difference to be noticeable in rough spots
does details show how much the penitent one does or does it all come under penance?
Will i got CR because i both pvp and mythic plus. You dont really PWR in arena so i went with one i could use for both
It can actually top my damage on some fights because it reflects “damage” not melee hits. So say you rapture pulsed incoming damage it can reverse a lot and do some good dps.
I’ve been hesitating to craft it after its nerfs on the beta ages ago but I’m glad to see someone is still using it. It was written off so quickly for M+ after the nerf but I figured it was still a solid choice especially if you pvp as well. I’m gonna just wait for potential balancing during this next week before I make any decisions on my legendary.
You should be able to run it as any spec and get the drop.
Well i figure they wont nerf CR cause its not used in raids. They will look more at those leggos then that one so i figured it was a safe bet

I’m kind of worried it’s going to get hit hard in pvp tbh. I haven’t seen the damage yet personally but it adds up.
Incremental damage added up over a long period of time really isn’t an issue in PvP, so compared to the other multitude of issues in PvP with massive burst, it’ll probably be pretty low on the priority list.
I did a BG yesterday and the damage was well behind PtW, Mindgames, Smite and Penance. Probably Schism too.

Theoretically, CR is far better than Penitent in M+ content Makes PW:S really worth using more, and puts out decent damage, especially in rapture windows. But 3 penance bolts isn’t actually that much damage without PotDS. It’s a whole freight ship of healing when cast on an ally though.
Penitent seems OK in PvP to me, as well as it’s probably your second best option for raid, but it’s so far behind Clarity of Mind right now for raid that you’d still replace it ASAP there unless CoM gets nerfed.
I made it largely because it’s a fun leggo rather than an effective one, and my guild isn’t trying to rush WF mythic or anything, so being slightly behind the first week isn’t a big deal.

I made Pentient simply because it looked 10x more fun (and it is)
PWR with ultimate radiance is a godsend when dealing with the amount of damage happening atm. Yeah you have to be mindful of mana and you aren’t going to spam PWR to fish for penitent procs but you can hold the proc for long enough.
I think there is definitely a use case for PWR + ultimate rad + penitent one in 3s
Im running 2’s today and while i like the talent im not sure i can justify it in that enviroment.
Looking at last nights raid CR was like 4th on my healing done and top for my damage. 19.2% of my damage. just over 3% healing
I think petinent may be best. But you cannot get it to drop now if I’m not mistaken.
