There’s a bunch listed for above 100K gold. Are people trying to take advantage of ignorance? It’s really not that hard to get. I had three of them after a couple hours. I don’t want to be like that. If people realized afterwards they’d probably feel bad. What’s a fair price? Do not say “whatever the market will bear” because I’m not a selfish jerk and I want to help realize a society that is a pleasant place to live where people help each other and don’t screw each other over.
I’ve been farming them all morning and haven’t seen 1.

I never saw any. But it wasn’t hard to search LFG for the boss so I could get the recipe and drops.

Ya, I haven’t seen one farming the mobs quite a bit on a couple of toons.
Here’s the thing with this. Say you have a natural disaster, this creates extreme shortages of things like water, food and plywood. And you make it illegal to price gouge. And on the news you show someone getting arrested for selling water for $10 a bottle.
Nothing happens, the shortage continues everyone suffers.
On the other hand say you don’t make it illegal and on the news you show someone being a “selfish jerk” selling bottles of water for $50. Suddenly every one with a truck and a couple thousand dollars is heading into the disaster with everything they can buy. The first few people will gouge the hell out of a few, but quickly everyone with a their trucks will be showing up and instead of a temporary shortage you’ll have a temporary surplus. The prices will drop quickly and so will the immediate suffering.
Price is the information everyone behaves on. It balances out shortages and surpluses. So while you may not want to hear “whatever the market will bare” if you want the price to go down, advertise the high prices so everyone with sword goes out and starts farming them. In the end more people will have them at a cheaper price. The way to actually not be a selfish jerk.

edit…I just logged on. I forgot I ended up putting it on the AH for 100K before I logged off. I didn’t think it was for real but it sold. Man. Turns out I’m not as guilty as I thought I’d be.

Think there’s some bugginess involved with this one in drop rate and that it’s not BoP. The rest of them seem to be BoP.
Price could drop pretty quick on these.
Edit: Day later the price is 29k with 180 available.
It’s probably going to keep dropping.
All the profession crafted summoning items are the same, the base item is BoP but the crafted item is not.

Does anyone have a descent farming spot for this ive been circling around the island for 8 hours and havent even seen 1 drop. What really pisses me off is that i can get every other profesion item except the toon im using it (my JC) cant get hers. I’ve seen scribes twice, echanting and blacksmithing once.

If you remove the cartels/price fix out of the picture, sure.
If you get to the real world and remember that people will do anything they can to keep everyone in line (it happens in WoW right now, lol) with their prices, then making things like that illegal and showing selfish jerks on news, things end up working a lot better in short term.
That’s a different version of the same problem. Monopoly, Cartel, Oligarchs, Politburo, the “Nice Guy.” They all want to set and manipulate prices. And that’s what causes issues, no matter where it comes from.
Asuming one obtains the item how much hp does the rare have?
They’re 15k now on my server. Pretty easy kill with three people.
Every JC got the recipe too, so that was nice to find out.

You can just join a random group to kill the rare and get the recipe. Only one person in the group needs the fork. So I wouldn’t worry to much about being a jerk. But I’d say 10-15k is a good price for the fork now that the commissions have dropped to 200-500g.
It also drops from pirates. I’m pretty sure it can drop from anything.
