*crying jordan face*

did I upset you by not liking for favorite youtuber? Who gives a hell if someone doesn’t like him. I don’t like Alexensual either.

Tips doesn’t know what he’s talking about most of the time and I just don’t like the fact he makes videos with misinformation or just is blatantly wrong about mechanics, spells and quests. I remember him saying “searing gorge and hinterlands don’t effect leveling” the reality is that leveling without those two quest hubs drastically changes the 40-50 leveling experience.

I can’t understand why you could possibly care if someone likes or dislikes a streamer

I gotta ask, is this from The Fifth Element?

I know you said you are painting them with a broad brush and all but…

I don’t see this as true at all, unless I’m missing something. Yeah there are people like this but it seems like they are the extreme minority.

Again disagree here. Yes, there are some that are like this and I agree I do hate those individuals personally but I wouldn’t say this is correct in terms of describing them. Unless I just happen to avoid most of them I don’t see this either.

I mean… I am pretty sure everyone does this no?

Yeah that’s annoying and I will say most do this. I understand why they do but its still annoying. If I click on a video and it says it’s 10:01 long I just close out of it.

Esfand is the real hero. Looks like Ron Jeremy and plays a ret pally. Dudes awesome

I’m just asking these out of my own personal ignorance and not bias. But, where has this been shown? I have heard some people say this and I haven’t seen one video he made where this was the case. Most of the videos I have watched from him are the ones that are more opinion based like the ‘favorite quest’ videos and such.

You mind mentioning a video he has done that’s like this just so I can see for myself?

indeed it was.

Hilarious! That sound byte would be pure gold after every tip.

If you look at his video on when they announced the 1.12 patch he states that the added quests make 0 difference in the leveling experience, which is just absolutely false. The other instance off the top of my head is when he said will of the forsaken breaks sheep. There are some instances on stream that he has argued with his chat over things he was wrong about which I doubt there is a clip of. The other two are pretty easily found on YouTube.

I also don’t know how this turned into me try to discredit tipsout… I don’t like him as a streamer and I don’t get why that’s even an issue that someone would care about. He’s not entertaining to me and has bad takes on stuff… let’s talk about GoT instead.

My favorite YouTuber is probably James Rolfe AKA the Angry Videogame Nerd.

My favorite Classic YouTuber is probably MadSeasonShow because he’s always very unemotional and remains pretty neutral.

Tipsout is ok. If he’s got something I feel like watching I’ll watch it.

At the end of the day YouTube is about content for me not the streamers. I have no loyalties to any YouTuber.

That I can understand. He gets pretty whiny and comes off as entitled. He’s also very much lacking in actual content.

Meh. He’s not a streamer I’d go to to find accurate information. Screenshots of client content? Sure why not? That’s kinda hard to screw up.

Dudes just an amateur YouTuber. Gotta have realistic expectations.

If this one is true, that is one mega OOF.

The searing gorge and hinterlands one, I certainly disagree with…but I mean… this is a little subjective no? You could realistically not touch these zones if you have a certain path. It would 100% effect my own personal route but I can also let this one slide as it’s just a point of view.

I’m not asking you to discredit him, I was just curious as to why someone maybe wouldn’t like him. That’s all.

Oh yea dude, I wasn’t trying to make it sound like I hated the dude at all. I simply don’t like his content. Nothing personal with him just dislike the videos I’ve watched. I was more or less saying my initial statement tongue in cheek

I told you before I even posted that I would be painting them unfairly as a community and not as individuals, but I will elaborate.

I play more games than just WoW, and streamers play a lot more FPS games than they do games like WoW.

I noticed the trends in how others play, and usually these streamers are pure garbage and count on either their buddies to carry them OR they’re dependent on exploiting an unintended glitch in game to garner their victories.

I assure you their fans copy them down to the letter, it’s very obvious once you start playing these kinds of games.

There are a few streamers who play more like I do, but so far these guys are 5 to 6 months behind me on strategy… Thankfully so because the “creative” ways that I tend to play these kinds of games can be extremely frustrating… The good part is I know the ways and have a very good method to deal with them long before they catch up too me because I was that guy before they were almost every time.

Copy cat play style became very popular around the time of TBC… When the armory and youtube videos became popular. It only got worse with live streaming.

When I was talking about every fix or solution being part of their bottom line I was talking money, not game play. They’re very much dedicated to their bank account and will do anything they can to bolster that… If that means they can expand based on influence over the companies who’s games they play, they will do this.

Yea that was more directed at myself for taking it down that road. Yes, it’s totally possible to never touch those zones but they really do smooth out the leveling experience. Like I said, he’s not my cup of tea. I would like to see he and asmondgold in a celebrity wow boxing match. They have to wear horde/ally cosplays tho

Illogical to hate someone because of their fans or one of their fans. Their fans are not them.

Some are this way. Others aren’t. I don’t see Tips as falling into this category :man_shrugging:

I’m not sure what this means.

Slightly irritating, agreed. But it suckers some people in.

Tipsout constantly spews garbage opinion as fact and his only good video was the one where he was breaking down and upset about how he just wants to be a “classic wow content creator” and not do anything else for a living.

Fair enough.

I told you I would be painting them unfairly as a community and not individually… Regarding “Fixes” I was talking about changes made that benefit their bottom line, AKA money.

They do this, and it’s been going on for a long time.

I know and I mentioned that, I’m just saying I disagree with the brush you painted the ‘community’ as a whole.

and this might be where we disagree here. As the only streamers I watch are generally people who are very good at their games/activity in these games so I rarely see what you are probably seeing.

For example, if I were to be playing mid lane in league of legends at this point in time, I would watch a chill, high level, mid laner on a stream/youtube just for information and opinions. I rarely see the emotional kid asking for free stuff but normally just watch a guy who is an expert in his lane and is just playing to play.

Or if I were playing CSGO or something I would watch someone who I know is a pro/really good player and just see how he maneuvers around the map to get an idea about what I should be doing. Maybe it’s just because I don’t pay attention to the top streamers like ninja or summit or whatever and I honestly don’t know what they are normally like outside of a couple clips ive seen.

I think Tips is kinda cute. But Staysafe is way cuter.
