2 of our friends started playing with us last week, one managed to create a toon in the alliance with us and the other still have the character creation menu grayed out.
Do you think it will unlock soon? or its permanent? we’ve been waiting for a couple of days now
This is the biggest proof they didn’t actually ban bot accounts btw.
If they actually banned bots on the biggest servers with locked populations…they would then allow actual players, right?
But no. Ban wave goes out (supposedly) and you see the exact same bots still farming the SFK tree
Its not permanent. It unlocks and relocks based on the Horde’s population levels. So Alliance stays locked until enough Horde are rolled for it to unlock.
Basically, if your friend really, REALLY wants to play with you on Alliance, they need to sit and check back in every couple hours and try to catch the moments when Alliance is unlocked so they can slip in.
You need to just keep checking, like every 10 min or so not every few days. It changes often, last time I checked Horde could not make new toons on the server for a while.
If Blizz would have balanced shaman and paladins the population disparity would not be as drastic. Perhaps Blizz will realize this and not make P2 so alliance centric.
Has nothing to do with why the servers are ally heavy. Everyone is ally because Ally has windfury now, which means there’s no advantage to being horde anymore.
Right which is no longer unique to shaman and alliance still have salvation. Again it comes down to paladin v shaman. If those two classes were equal the factions would be much more so.
I think it unlocks and locks automatically all the time, just check at random times. Probably early in the morning and late at night especially.
I have level 1 alliance there since I have some people on my friends list that play there but I haven’t decided if I’ll level Alliance alts or not. Took me a few days to make them just randomly checking.
Its the most populated server atm and although the initial rush in was because of the streamers; many, like Asmon, haven’t been playing much after doing the endgame content a bit.
Even after the streamers leave, anyone who genuinely enjoys SoD will stay. In the meantime; anyone who will only be staying as long as the streamers are around will be around for a while since we are only on phase 1 of 4.
Still false, there’s more reasons. Just pay attention to rune locations. Most classes have about 3 runes that demand trips deep into alliance territory, where ally don’t really need to bother with trips to horde territory.
This is actually an interesting point. Though since they locked alliance, bots can only make horde characters. So most of the bans would be on horde side, exacerbating the problem.
