Hello I am CRUG.
Long story short I’m in New Jersey and if you google what’s going on right now…there’s a lot of water and floods.
I was driving home, currently I can’t get there because the parkways and minor roads are flooded or blocked off.
As I was driving to find alternative routes I got caught in a deep puddle and my car stalled.
I called 911 but they can’t send any cars to the area because there’s such heavy traffic and flooding. Something with toe trucks. I was told
“We’ll get you, the police will get you, or the department of transportation will get you”.
After awhile the car ran for a second and I was able to get out of the puddle. A bit after that I was able to drive completely off the high way and to a gas station where I am camping out.
My check engine light is still on. Idk this has never happened. Is my car gonna rust out from the inside or something. I just wanna go home and conquest cap. Tell me it will be ok.

Lots of people drown doing this.
Don’t drive in flooded areas.
Your engine could have water inside. Best to tow it to a mechanic.

The worst case scenario is if your electronics got wet. This could lead to shorts in circuits or destroy them completely. Other than that, be sure the carpets are not soaked as they will mold up. You definitely want to get engine circuits tested.

Crug you gotta be more safe. Flood zones ain’t no joke.
As suggested, you’re probably going to need it towed and they’ll give you the damage report.

Also, why aren’t you RPing? Pick up the damn car and walk it back to your hut, have the village Goblin work on it.
Very well could have gotten the electronic ignition parts wet. Have to let it sit for awhile
for them to totaly dry out. Go to a auto parts store (O’reillys, Autozone). They can do a free engine light check and tell you what engine code is causing the light to remain on.
(the light has to be on for the machine to detect the codes). Can also usually give
you a list of what causes the code as well.
As for driving through deep water. If you ever have to do so. Like you didnt realize how deep the water was. Just remember, DO NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN if you can help it.
As long as water does not flood the exhaust system by going up the tail pipe.
A lot of cars will keep running. Its when water gets into the tail pipe making
it where the exhaust cant exit the system that causes a lot of cars to stall.
I once mistaken how deep urban flooding was in a intersection I had to go
through to get home. Was driving a 2001 Volvo wagon. Water was almost up to the side windows. I made it through because I didnt slow down or stop.

It’s lucky you don’t actually play wow and only make threads in the forums or you would be missing out.
I just got home. Was in the car for 7 hours…

Man the rain is still ruthless here too in PA. I’m glad I got home yesterday morning. Stay safe out there, one of my SO’s work friends did something similar yesterday on the way home, she made through without stalling it thankfully. She said if she hadn’t been following another vehicle she wouldn’t have trusted it, so still dangerous (if there’s rides a little higher than yours, oops).
Also there’s a creek right outside my door across the street that if this keeps up, is definitely gonna close my road at some point. It’s happened before and from not as much.
Definitely see a mechanic though, like someone said if water got in the engine or lays in the floorboards there will be problems.
