Don’t say sorry. Instead edit in a few spaces. That is a big block of words.
You are a hunter. Need on everything. BE THE MEME.
You ninja looted.
It’s an upgrade for you, but it’s much larger for the rogue. It’s like a rogue taking Blackcrow over you - they can use the 1% hit, but it’s massive for you.
OP what you have to do here is imagine that a bow with +AP dropped and a rogue took it for the odd times they fell out of melee range and tell us if you feel like you’d feel cheated
Also melee weapons are the single biggest upgrades for melee classes by a land slide
The logic that you might use it also goes against taking the Barb. If you’re going into melee, you want a beefy 2h.
Ok I think we all realize that it isn’t about the rogue, it is about the hunter getting his 1percent dps increase while he is in melee for some reason. I think it is safe to say he has learned nothing from this thread.
Well the AP is pretty big. That’s like 4~6 agility right there.
If this was a guild run, I’d kick you. See, while this low lvl, it’s not that big a deal, something like this would eventually become a big deal in the endgame.
Do you think it would be ok if a rogue or warrior needed a purple bow and won it over you? This is the same thing.
Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same. Everything is a hunter weapon, eh?
Also, it’d be nice to kick you for the wall of text.
Also really avoid needing on stuff like that if it’s a main hand slow weapon
They’re the really important one
If it’s a 2.2 speed sword with AP and the rogue has a decent off hand already feel free to to
Roll
If you unequipped the sword while shooting your bow, you would hardly tell a difference.
If the rogue swapped from a poor wep to the cruel Barb he will literally kill things twice as fast. That’s how weapon damage works.
It’s up to you how selfish you want to be.
When these situations arise I generally check in with others before rolling. Like I rolled on the cloth shoulders in SFK on my hunter because they are an upgrade. But I checked with the mage and priest in the group to be sure it was ok. Certainly it’s better for them but it was still really good for hunters too. I assume Blizzard somewhat intended this by putting 2 agility on them. The 10 intellect has really helped me out while level: hunters go OOM all the time. The belt from SFK dropped right after and it was an upgrade that also had 2 agi 10 int on it but I passed cause I didn’t want to be a greedy huntard.
In the OPs scenario the weapon is better for the rogue but still an upgrade for hunter as well. And in this scenario I would have also asked if it was ok before hand. Some people would only be mildly annoyed while others would be truly upset. No need to cause a bunch of avoidable drama over gear you’ll be replacing soon anyways. You WILL do some melee as a hunter but its maybe 10% of your damage while it’s 99% of a rogues damage.
For you it’s a minor upgrade, for him it was probably a significant upgrade… I hope a rogue rolls on a significant ranged weapon upgrade for you in the future because “It has agility on it”
Ask if you can need it. Treat melee as your offspec. Of course i dont want the gdrama. Id explain it to you and if it kept happening you’re gone.
If it was a raid it would be all bad instantly tho
Er, not really.
But I concur with everyone else for sure. That’s definitely a rogue weapon.
I sword rogue
Yeah, I don’t know how the OP got it in his head that it’s rare.
wow i completely missed this in your wall of text earlier.
not only is sword rogue not hard to come by, despite your allegations, it’s the complete opposite.
combat swords is by far the most efficient leveling spec in the game for a rogue, and to go a step further, one of, if not, the best spec in the game for rogues period.
You wouldn’t be mad if a rogue took your ranged weapon? It’S aN uPgRaDe
It’s super easy leveling. I’ll switch to daggers later. Op is trying to cover themselves
