Crucial talents locked at bottom

Anyone else think it feels real bad for crucial abilities to your spec being all the way down at the bottom where you have to take points out of other just as important talents to get it. Cause I think it feels real bad :unamused:

In fact, this is the way that the talent trees are designed. The goal is to limit the number of very powerful abilities that players have available to them.

So they purposely put fluff trash at the top or abilities you already had

Yes, this is intentional. Additionally, as you level to 70 and get five more points in each tree, you will have access to more very important talents. A level 60 now should play like a level 60 from before. When you have 40 additional talent points to fill, yes they ended up making us talent into spells that should probably be baseline.

Well then why didn’t they just wait to release the trees until the 28th so your class doesn’t feel so incomplete for a month

I can’t tell you this because I don’t know. Personally, I think that the talent trees are a mistake - they were removed for a reason. I know that we will have the same problems of talent point bloat if they keep adding 10 levels to each expansion.

To me, some specs feel incomplete and others feel the same as before. However, not every spec was complete in Shadowlands either.

If the trees were so bad then why did everyone seem so head over heels for them did they really forget so soon

I don’t know who forgot. It’s possible that they genuinely enjoyed them back then. It’s also possible that they weren’t alive yet when talent trees were used.

I dislike how it wipes upper rows if you try to shuffle points around.

Like, instead of just having a little red “!” and saying “You need to distribute all your points or we can’t activate this bottom talent”. I go to swap around a niche talent or two and then I have to replace 5-10 points.

I made a post about the same thing recently. Someone had a great idea - letting you go over budget (like spend up to 40 if you have 30 available) and then only letting you save it when you have 30 or less again.

There’s also a workaround but it’s annoying. Un-spend the talent point at the very bottom, add the point you want, remove the point you don’t want, and then re-spend the point at the very bottom.

Because classes are incomplete for a month. You aren’t max level until 70 as of prepatch release.

If you want more two bottom of the tree talents, it should require you to give us some other things.

Who thought that was a good idea though

That’s right! Someone told me they were Rita Skeeter from Harry Potter and I loved that when I saw it. Unintentional! But then cute little Rita was getting her hair done in the barber shop and I realized it was free to gender swap so I clicked that.

Additionally, I think that it would be cool if there were more links between talents, so that way you don’t have to take talents you don’t want to get to your favorite talents as frequently. IMO no talent should have only one incoming link unless it’s a buff to a spell you talent immediately before.

It’s that way every expansion since wrath at the least. Prepatch means you spend a month or more under max level.

Well then they should’ve given us primal storms and called it a day until the 28th so things didn’t feel so bad
