I run 18 healers and 2 dps on 2 accounts this year for the tokens. Is Crown harder/scaling differently than in the past or folks just not moving out of poison? I am seeing it across all my healing classes and I’m getting a complex. Don’t experience this in TW, heroic or M+.
Yep, it is hitting harder. I believe when they said this:
During the Love is in the Air event, you can enter Shadowfang Keep for a new Heroic-difficulty fight with Apothecaries Hummel, Baxter, and Frye.
They meant “everything hits harder.”
Make sure people use the potions. Those two auras from the first two bosses will hit like a truck if you’re not countering one of them in melee.
The only time my health has ever been low in this, I look over at details and see the healer did 0 healing. No not a small amount of healing, literally didn’t even cast a single spell amount of healing. Across all my characters I do this on this remains the case.
o I can’t do that. I will never let you die, C!
well the healers probably are too used to the dungeon being faceroll like it has been the last 15 years
The healers aren’t healing. Every run has ppl cheating the queue, both tanks and healers. It ticks me off.
I heal and drop all CD’s, but I’m just wondering why I couldn’t catch up. Sendryn explanation makes perfect sense. I can’t speak for other healers, ofc, but I speak for myself. Anyway, 50% of the statement that for the last 15 yrs I was used to facerolling it was true but after folks dropped to 50%, you gotta adapt and adapt quick. It would be embarrassing to have a death in SFK lol
I’m healing my runs, too. But every time, there’s at least one or two melee who don’t use potions and no matter how many heals I spam, they’re constantly sitting between 10% and 30%. Same with the tank.
It’s driving me batty.
There are only 2 sources of damage and neither of them are melee attacks.
There are four sources of damage:
- melee from the bosses if the tank doesn’t pick them up
- puddles
- sprays
- perfume auras
I noticed nothing on the monk im lvling when i q’d at lvl 75/76 yesterday
I definitely noticed the colored puddles ticking a lot harder than I remember from previous years. I only go into this event with ranged characters, so here’s my suggestion.
What I like to do is pick one of the potions and then find a corresponding puddle that I’m immune to and stand in that. In my experience, Frye will not stack both colors in one spot.
Your mileage may vary of course.
And with the two auras ticking harder, as well, melee are taking more damage than they should be, because no one will use the freakin’ potions.
Yeah, it’s terrible. 2-3 people in every group either not playing the right role or just sitting there doing nothing because it’s their 25th alt and has no gear/binds. Terrible.
I am healing on my healers and the puddles are definitely hitting more. But most dps are literally just going for a swim in it, hardly any of them get the perfume or bother to move out of it.
There are definitely people jumping the queue and not playing in their normal roles though. Let’s not forget many people are cycling through their alts for the chance to get the mount, so some of them won’t perform as well.
This makes me feel better, honestly. I tried healing it on my 76 paladin and it was embarrassing that I couldn’t outheal the damage without popping every CD I had.
That’s seriously unfortunate to hear. I’ve been going on my Evoker and just…not standing in puddles. It’s been fine.
It’ll be better if Devs address the mount low drops from a bad luck protection perspective or even something like the tool tip that limits this to 1 attempt per account for both mounts but with a good drop %, I’m doing 60+ runs, same for other players, so we do the runs with a spec that can queue fast even if we can’t heal, tank, dps with that class, I don’t have some spells in my bars with some alts
I am surprised how many people forgot about that whole neutralizer mechanic.
Well, I shouldn’t be surprised.
same! and I was on a very geared pally on my 1st run on this event! I was like what’s going on… then recovered quickly! But then again, I’d have groups where barely no one has ticking damage so definitely its a group comp kind of thing.
