Crossrealm arena

Exactly There’s an argument to be had that this type of idea where every single server is its own unique community is just not summing that’s viable in the year 2022.

Simply put we just don’t play the game that way anymore

EXACTLY, it still felt like my realm was its own community even in MoP which had cross realm arenas and i think its because thats just the way we played MMOs. nothing is stopping a server with cross realm from feeling this way its just the players themselves. If people want a community on their server they can still have it with the addition of cross realm content (arena  )

Thanks bud. Already felt ripped off as it is.

It’s a question to a lot of people that they feel if we take too much from retail is it still classic and the problem with that is it’s never going to be and never was going to be classic is not vanilla and tbc Classic is not tbc And the same thing with wrath it’s not going to play out the same way it did the 1st time for one simple fact we know everything now.

And again I say the most important thing is for people to be able to play together and that’s what people are Don’t see or refuse to see.

ASUS ROG phone.

I do see where they are coming from but since the release of classic its been the same argument and i get it.

The way things are looking now 2xpacs deep into classic is that some things might have to be implemented to help the longevity of the game. Im 100% sure having cross realm content (arena  ) would do nothing but improve the current state of the game.

The feeling of classic wouldnt instantly be shattered by this change, I just want to play with my old friends stuck on a different server

A day too late :joy:

We’ll see that’s the beauty of it I could be wrong about this and I’ll have to go look but I’m pretty sure as long as those friends are on your friends list if you have cross server play you can invite them to groups even if they’re playing on a different server.

I mean technically on retail that’s even cross faction Which is something else I would argue for but that’s a whole other can of worms that I’m not willing to tackle right now.

But what I will say is this Most servers are either 100% alliance or 100% hoard So I don’t think there’s anything wrong at this point with the idea of cross faction or cross faction or cross server play.

I kind of share your sentiment but comment but on the upside of all of this yes it’s not the best way to look at it but it’s a way to look at it dragonflight looks good So at the very worst scenario well people can go play that I know that’s my backup plan.

yeah thats for sure on the mind I would just really hate for an opportunity to play wotlk arena with my old friends to go to waste for nothing but the “its not classic” argument

And sadly I think that’s gonna be the reason why we’re not gonna get a lot of good quality of life features I mean I’ve seen people argue for the classic PVP system because it was during that error and then everyone knows that thing was garbage.

And for the auction house and again everyone knows that the classic auction house is bad In comparison to retail but nope nope nope because it was there during the air never mind 90% of people use addon for it anyway but you know.

Another example of cough cough #NoChanges Causing problems even after blizzard decides to go away from.

There are still things that blizzard refuses to implement because in their opinion that’s their opinion that’s too much Especially if you’ve ever looked at their cough cough pillars.

No until RDF comes. We must think of being social. Can’t just have you playing with “friends”

neither was arena teams. wow has never had NO arena teams without xrealm arena. what do they expect to happen? no bgs, and no teams and no xrealm arena is just a recipe for disaster. why do they think everyone is stacking on the same realm. implement xrealm arena will make the pvpers not be worried about xferring off. No1 wants to log into wow and not have partnesr to play with, and feel left out.

blizzard continues doing this thing where they go in between two options which ends up being WORSE than either of the two.

in bc this was

  1. teams without mmr
  2. no teams with mmr (personal ratings)

instead they did, teams WITH mmr… which made the activity of arena the WORSE. the original design of BC was teams without MMR which fit much better with the mechanics of TBC (heartbeats, resists, rng etc). no1 wants to create a new team with random people they’ve never played with, be at high mmr, and lose games due to RNG. the whole fun part of BC was getting synergy together while you farmed teams close to your rating (1500). As you approached 2k you guys were doing well together…

another fun thing about bc was logging on making a new team and trying to go nearly perfect ratio as you approached glad rating

they ruined that

Its good change. Thumps up
Less would be on bene.

99% of noob in forum do not arena at all btw

i think minimally arena being xrealm is fine, it doesnt affect pve at all, which is the majority of the game anyways, and would basically never affect anyone who only pve’s. there’s literally no downside to it, and like i’ve stated, there’s never been xrealm arenas when using the personal rating system.

0.0 omg what is this classic??

I mean I’m not sure if you’re trying to be sarcastic or not but yeah This is what classic has become and honestly I think the most important things is for People to be able to play the game.
