Are guilds cross server? I am a fairly new player that is unsure of how the guilds and cross server stuff is done. I know the general chats are cross server?
Yes and no.
Guilds on “connected realms” allow membership to be drawn from any of the connected realms. For example my guild is on Sargeras, which is connected to Illidan, so our members can be from either Sargeras or Illidan server, but not from, say, Dalaran or Lightbringer.
I think the largest connected realm group is 5 or 6 realms, and there are a handful of realms which still stand alone or only have one other realm connected to them.
You are on Shadow Council which is connected to BlackWater Raiders and can join guilds on either of those realms, but no other realms.
