Within a cursed forest of dead branches, abandoned webs, and among dire wolves and the dead things of Duskwood; there is a lonely and unused barn on the outskirts of a quiet town called Darkshire. Even though the breeze whistles through its warping boards, the creaky building has an adequate roof, and such a ruin suits the Forsaken caravan just fine.
A caravan on a trade mission has occupied the barn to use as a trading post in advance of measures the Horde and Alliance governments will soon take. There will be an increase of exchange between the factions. What will transpire in the meantime will depend on the type of interactions between the common folk and with the venders which stop by.

This is a common thread for the random RP that will happen near Darkshire through the months of October and November. It will not be exclusively IC, but it can be used for such if you couldn’t attend at the time we are open for business. Updates will also be provided here for some of the interactions we had during previous business days.
Basically I’m taking a page from the TB Duskwood thread in the random way of it. Some situations that players create may apply to the last caravan event in the beginning of December. I’m curious what might spring from this. If we get some Alliance interest before December then the caravan will have pretense to do a bonus run into Elwynn Forest.

Day two in Darkshire,
All the tents and stalls had been erected and there was more activity than yesterday, our arrival day. That evening the trading post was visited by the ghostly knight of Duskwood. He was as cordial as he had been the other times I encountered him, but this time I learned from him that people who die in these cursed woods have their spirits bound to the land. This was a revelation to me and perhaps is a clue into another problem I had come across. Before I could delve deeper into the secrets of Duskwood or the details of his ethereal existence, a group of a different undead variety had approached the trading post.
To my pleasant surprise, this group, which call themselves the Pact of the Grave, are making a home for themselves in the area. I thought the trade mission was blazing a trail in leu of the new peace, but it turns out these Deathknights are setting up a more solid foundation for the possibility of closer Forsaken and Human connections. The bustle grew and I couldn’t track everything going on, but the soul that had my main focus, Sascha, she relayed some of the intent of their order to me and left me interested in their future endeavors. Although, I still reserve some enthusiasm until greater trust is formed.
A great day of trade and profit. If the trade mission can have three more days like it before our week is out, then I won’t have to sell another wagon to get us to the final location in the Redridge Mountains.
The trading post is open a little longer tonight until about 9:30 pm server.

Day three in Darkshire,
There seemed to be an increase in trade today. Partly because word has traveled further about the location, but it’s also likely attributed to the increasing activity of Darkshire. The guilds and orders which reside in there and throughout the forest region, have all contributed to the popularity of Duskwood as being a desirable destination. That evening, once again members of the Pact of the Grave stopped by. Before the likeable Deathknights filled the foggy night with merriment and diversion, the few souls which engaged with me prior had provided an opportunity for the trade mission.
Duskwood has its share of bandits and the caravan had been attacked on the first run into the Dead Acre farm. Two of the three perpetrators were still at large, and due to certain events at the previous trading post, they are likely to attack again. Rhoniene, a Draenei Deathknight, through some conversation I felt like I could ask for help on the matter of the bandits. Her friend, a Dwarf of the same order, but who’s name I never acquired; he also offered a swing of his blade at the bandits for fair pay. Allisei came around the time that a druid had returned from the grove nearby. After hearing of my offer, she offered to help as well. With their help and that of a couple other close individuals from the first and second runs, together we’ll clear the road of the culprit’s blight so that all travelers may use the roads freely.

Is there a regular trading post day each month?

No, it’s pretty random because these aren’t the main events. This trading post will be a thing for about 3 more weeks. The next trading post will be near Lakeshire and there will be random callings for that too.
Day Four in Darkshire,
A little trade occurred today, nothing worth mentioning. The night brought with it a few of my brethren in the Convocation of Darkness. We happened to stop some grave robbers which we discovered. The criminals fought back and one died in that attempt. We managed to capture the other one, but we didn’t turn him over to the local authorities. We knew it would only draw the wrong sort of attention to us, and perhaps accusations.
Being undead carries with it certain stigmas and being undead in possession of corpses would only feed into it. What’s worse in this situation is the fact that the culprits were priests. Even though they are of a radical sect, we didn’t know how connected they are in the area or how strong in number. Should the blame be shifted onto us, that the testimony of the priest claims we were the ones stealing bodies, perhaps simple bias would work against us.
It might have been even wiser to exclude this event from the official log so as to help keep the secret, but since we haven’t been mistreated in these lands, I feel like this is a fair balance between respecting the locals and protecting the success of the trade mission.

Day Five in Darkshire,
A handful of souls have offered their blade and spell to help me track down the bandits before they can pounce on the Caravan. Rhoiene and Shakklur were two of the Deathknights from the Pact of the Grave I had met a few nights earlier. Nohkar and Iggy were individuals which had helped in the previous caravan runs. Together we used my bones an Orc blacksmith by the name of Yvanka had incorporated into a lance that belonged to their fallen bandit from the first run. His companions came in the night while we were posted at the Dead Acre and stole it.
With Their location now fixed within my mind, the five of us set out to end their threat. Enroute we tripped an alert which Nohkar had discovered right after. We pressed on and later found out the exact location of their hideout when I was shot. The Deathknights drew the fire and fought the hound while the rest of us used the trees as cover and ascended the hill. With our combined strength we had almost defeated the shooter, but that was when the rogue came from behind and helped the shooter to escape. That gun wielding bandit unstrapped her backpack and a glider unfolded. She leapt off the edge and floated away, leaving behind the Rogue for us to contend with.
Rhoiene and I were taken down by the speed of her blades. However, Nohkar and Shakklur came through with powerful blows. We would have captured her, but she was in it for the kill at any cost. I wonder what the Sharpshooter will do all alone. One thing was accomplished tonight, without her companions, the caravan will not have any threat to it on the final run into Redridge. In return for the help, the party only required one thing of me, a favor. I don’t know what that might intel, but I shall commit to it when asked.
