so as the title says im on emerald dream trying to join my friends on Thrall. can’t join the guild and it does not show up in guild finder. any help would be awesome
Has your friend tried inviting you to the guild? With my alt guild I found if it was not a connected realm it would not show up in the finder. I had to get my husband to invite me to the guild and then I was able to join.
Not sure if they activated that feature just yet

You can’t search cross-realm Guilds you need an invite link or a direct invite.

I’ve discovered that if you have the person trying to invite you in a group the invite will go through no problem.

Its a bit rough right now…all system patches are give it a reset or two.

You need to jump through more hoops because it’s still not easy, Gets worse if also cross faction

is it horde to alliance or vice versa?
It was horde to alliance guild, but when I first tried it very well could have just not been active at the time and the party inviting method could have been just dumb luck. Either way, that’s how I got it to work last night
i did see some issues invited opposite faction, something about needing an invite link, but i have NO clue how that works personally

I’ve been doing cross-realm the same way I invite cross-faction alts. Create a cross-faction community then you have an invite code to the community. Then post a Guild Invite link in Community Chat. As soon as the character joins the community they can use the Guild Invite link. Works perfectly for me.

shouldn’t, and likely isn’t intended to be, but it was untestable on beta/ptr and i guess they didn’t do any in house
That I agree on. But I already had it setup since it was the only way to invite cross-faction alt. to my personal Guild.
I don’t think it is intended to be. I did all of my alts on the first night of the patch and had no problems with just using /guildinvite name-server even for crossfaction alts on other servers. I’d assume that is how it is supposed to work since it did, dunno what changed that is making people have problems now.
