Or guild rivalries even! At least, we will likely have battle groups, so we will be able to have these to some extent, but still…

I wholeheartedly agree. It would help with server imbalances when one side has 30 sec ques and the othe 30 min. The larger faction will dominate av, wsg/ab will be dominated by the smaller one. In the end it all balances out just fine without crbgs.

I want same realm BGs if only to recognize players on the other side. Rivalries will be developed.

blizzard never knew how to balance anything… Not even abilities I doubt they even thought this far… TBH im salty af about this whole thing! 20 min AVs? cross realm BGs being months away? wtf do they want pvpers to do? roll alts?
I was shocked when I heard the were planning to start with cross-realm BGs. This is as basic as not including LFG - we want a community and part of that is knowing and competing with players on your own realm.

Please do not make battlegrounds cross realm. This removes not only authenticity but server identity as well. When my friends and I get into a battleground I want people on the alliance to go “oh wow we’re screwed.” This honestly makes the honor grind even worse than before because it truly means that people who have the ability to no life battlegrounds are going to get the most honor as opposed to having to wait for queue times.
I would personally be okay with being able to queue pvp anywhere, but I am not of fan of being able to get into a battleground with people from other servers. I actually can’t believe blizzard thinks this is an okay change.
The number one most important thing about battlegrounds is the que times. For people like me who only play battlegrounds, CRBG is a godsend.
Why have one realm with horde imbalance and the horde have long que times, then another realm with alliance imbalance and alliance have long que times? Instead, blizzard does the smart thing and combines them into a battlegroup and no one has long que times.
Again, once BG comes out many like me are only playing that, so que times are keeping us from playing. Elimination of que times is the greater good.
Also back in original wow, when CRBG came out, after a few weeks I got to know all the regulars on my battlegroup. You post on the battlegroup forums, it’s still a community.

WoW is significantly more fun than chess. However, chess has been around for 13 of the past 19 segments of human history, so it’s the only real game.
Glad you see it my way. You need to unsub and play chess instead.

Many servers have faction imbalances. You guys are delusional if you think single realm BG’s would work (ps they didn’t work in early vanilla either). The queues would be horrendous. People would literally quit over the multiple hour long queues.
Layering got removed today and look at all the people complaining about queue times lol. Single realm BG’s would be a thousand times worse.
