Why not have no factions and we all join as one singing Kumbaya!
Mechagnomes on the Horde would bring SO MUCH technology revolution.
Ogrimmer might be upgraded.
My off key singing will drive away the drum circle.
Retail has already blurred the lines between the horde and allianceā¦ but classic is still trying to keep things in check as it should be. But again look at the mobs we fightā¦ thereās so many different races involved within this I donāt see an issue with this type of set up coming to retailā¦ But would have an issue if something like this came to classic.
No they shouldnāt. Factions still have story culture and no Night Elf should be doing quests to bomb their own people. Just one of many examples with questing and story.
Classic came after the third war too. After so many expansions of coming together to fight the greater evil, why not cut to the chase and hot potato your alliances.
I donāt think theyāll do that (cross faction races) as it kind of binds their hands should they feel like starting an Alliance/Horde conflict (a good one this time, set up over one or two expansions) again.
You can still have your pvp if the horde and alliance are gettinā along just fine. Would love to see a mercenary / traitor / whatever system that allows you to pick your race + faction.
I remember back in the day they actually said this was going to happen in one of those April Fools fake patch note post things, i remember getting super excited before i realized what the date was lol
Iād love to see a betrayal quest in the game, it doesnāt need to chew into Blizzards micro-transaction cheddar, they can just sell the faction betrayal quest item starter for the same (ish) price as a faction change. Iād make a Vulpera in a heartbeat and instantly go home to the alliance lol
Thatās racist by assuming someone born to a certain race identifies with it forever, and agrees with all their politics. If someone born in America decides to move to Iran, for example, they can. Having set factions based on race is stupid, we should get to pick each characterās allegiance.
Stopped reading there. This is a fantasy game with specific fractional lore quests. Not some weird political Twitter thing. Bye bye.
Thatās fine, if you want to ignore my arguement. I just think itās dumb that we are separated by race, with no choice. I want an Alliance vulpera haha
You missed my points entirely, which were that races that were created for one faction canāt seamlessly be made available to the other without one version having access to fewer race-specific things than the other, and that thereās no point in making factions even more redundant after cross-faction grouping. A betrayal system isnāt something the game isnāt meant to have; half because the devs have always wanted your choice of faction to matter, and half because your characterās loyalty to their faction isnāt supposed to be something you can decide at any time without paying money and potentially changing their race.
