Cross Faction Solo Guilds & Alts

I’m not sure either but maybe its has something to do with the rank permissions for the character you are using to post the link? Do they have rights to do so as Community owner and Guild Rank?

The guild has to be listed in the guild finder to have the link option.

Never heard of guild perks?

Check out Pharazon’s tip: that the guild has to be listed in the guild finder in order to have the link option.

You have to have them in the same Cross Faction Community first.

Kudos to you Jorsha! This was incredibly helpful. Thank you. It is certainly the most relevant patch feature for me. Been waiting years for it…finally all my alts will have the same gbank access! The only downside is the reputation ranking loss. I’m wondering if running dungeons (like Botanica) with the renowed guild tabard is still the fastest way to get exalted…

Cheers

Yeah this was a good thread after banging my head against the wall for nearly an hour trying to figure this out. Talk about unnecessarily complicated!

Oh it’s definitely unnecessarily complicated.

Thank you! This may indeed be my exact problem.

Will check and report back. (Après :bathtub:.)

Thank you so much for the instruction to invite cross faction alts to your own guild. I re-read your post a few times. Someone else mentioned in this thread when searching for the community to check off Cross Faction, this stumped me. I finally invited my first horde alt to my alliance guild.

Talk about back and forth (logging in and out) to do this.

I’ll be forever grateful!

I haven’t logged on to WoW yet but another way to do it is just invite one of your bnet friends in your guild then have them invite your alts, right?

Just wanted to give you my thanks for the step by step walkthrough + tips! It saved me so much time and energy figuring it out. I really do hope that they streamline it at some point, for sure :disappointed:

I get all the other reasons but you can stop guild invites by checking the block guild invitations box on the social options tab.

That doesn’t stop people from whispering you if they see you aren’t in a Guild. But if you are in a Guild they won’t have a reason to whisper you about joining their guild.

This was INCREDIBLY helpful! Thank you so much!!!

LOL, yes! That of course is the much easier way to do it. :grinning:

Well, I used your way for one character then promoted her to invite all the other characters (my Alliance mage is on the account with my Horde toons and my other Alliance toons are on my second account.)

So thanks for the mini guide!

Had no issues getting my Horde Alt accepted into my Alliance Cross Faction community. But had a little trouble getting the Guild Invite Link (using Link Post in Chat button) properly posted into Community Chat so it was “clickable” by my Horde Alt. I ended up having another Alliance Alt, who was not the GM or Community owner use the “link post in chat” button. Horde alt finally able to click the link and all is well. Thanks for instructions.
