Cross faction NOT for queued content?

It would be odd to think people wouldnt opt in. Its better than continuing the faction divide status quoe

I dont know it feels like they do.

Toxicity, trolling, griefing concerns or just “I hate that faction!” You’d be surprised.

This is why we cant have nice things…

Yep!

I mean… fair sort of? But let’s not play it up to be literally re-coding the game like some in this thread have. It’s going to be things that are going to be broken because of stupid assumptions long ago. But guilds? Pretty sure they could ship that next two weeks if they wanted. Mostly because guilds are literally implemented at the battle.net level and only filtered in game. My guess is the harder parts would ironically be the things they are already fixing but which have had partial fixes for ages because mercenary mode.

I wouldn’t; I have seen ‘well respected’ members of the community flat out say Alliance players suck (at the game) despite that person having never actually played alliance.

Of course that was many years ago and a different time, but the entire reason the faction barrier is as strong as it is (language, etc) is because in vanilla beta horde and alliance couldn’t keep from hurling obscenities at each other. Some take this stuff a touch too seriously.

That I didn’t know. I figured guilds were still implemented on the realm level and any Bnet functionality was bolted on.

Nope! It’s why whenever b.net burps guilds go down too. They are just ‘special’ communities in battle.net

But at least we’ve got memes!

Thats why id be a sith. I couldn’t do the jedi thing. But I’d be a sith who spends all my eternal life scouring the galaxy for hidden secrets and force rituals and all manner of things. And also sit on my dark council seat cause im also pro empire

One of my Sith characters has an intricate backstory where he believes in the Empire— mostly. Met a Jedi when the Empire was trying to blow up a Jedi library on Ossus and they worked together to stop it, because he wanted the knowledge within. He doesn’t like slavery, but still likes the efficiency of the Empire.

But my mind was in the gutter when I read that meme. LOL

Qed content is fine tho

That interview wasn’t linked to on their official announcement. And so far the official announcement is the only thing I have had to go by. Which the announcement was quite clear on its wording what they intended. The interview changes that.

Even still, he specifically called for feedback on what we want for it in the future. So my earlier point still stands. We have a responsibility to voice our feedback on the direction we want to see it go.

Your quote is from the details on what’s going to be released now. It has nothing to do with future plans. There’s a difference.

Interviews with Ion are still official.

And my reply to that still stands:

And many people have been whining and dramatizing instead of being constructive. There is never anything wrong with constructive feedback. But people are raging, claiming Blizz hates them, making up doom and gloom scenarios, etc.

Telling them what you want: :+1:
People flailing angrily: :-1:

Get this through your head. When someone on these boards talks about “official” we mean things Blizzard posted HERE on their website. Things posted offsite are not typically considered. The vast majority of the playerbase DOES NOT check other media sites for WoW news and updates.

I am not discounting it as any less official than what they post here, but I am going to call you out on this. Do try to understand.

Yup, I kept telling people there’s no reason to praise blizzard for this change cause it still only benefits people who already have a social group.

Solo players get absolutely nothing from it.

It’s way more programming over way more time to roll out something progressively less half-assed and lame until it finally becomes useable. Assuming they don’t lose interest before that point because I really don’t see the initial implementation meeting the goal for participation metrics with the hoops you have to jump through.

Just rip the god damn bandaid off already.

Get THIS through your head. You posted information on what’s being released now. If you can’t handle the fact that you tried to interpret details on ONE part being released and not future plans, that’s your problem.

Don’t get vent out of shape at me, because you refuse to acknowledge the difference.

There is no “we.” You’re making stuff up willy nilly for nonsensical reasons.

Source?

And that doesn’t give you the right to get all pissy over clarification and explanation given to you.

You’re going to call ME out, because you can’t take it when someone clarifies things for you? LOL okay. Whatever, kiddo.
