Cross-Faction: Just watched All Quiet on the Western Front

If these dudes were intending to create an Anti-War movie then they’ve deff done it

I’m literally so sad that I don’t even want to kill Alliance players anymore as a story narrative

I’m just gonna pretend my Battlegrounds are Team-Arena events from now on

Luckily for me I can distinguish a video game from real life events so I’ll continue to operate on the red=dead doctrine.

But you’re Horde?

The movie looks really good I need to watch it. I watched Whiplash for the first time last night, fantastic movie as well.

What do you mean I’m a high elf.

Question:

Does the movie end just as the original 1930 film with a cute little butterfly?

I mean considering that the battlegrounds have been going on for almost TWO DECADES, them being a historical “reenactment but not really re-“ event run by the Bronze Dragonflight actually makes MORE sense than the idea that they’re still going on

And iirc WPVP is war games/entertainment being run by Malicia with faction based teams for convenience this time isn’t it? (similar to the Brokers in Shadowlands being the WPVP hosts)

A movie that had as much to do with becoming a musician as Rocky did with becoming a boxer. That’s not how you learn drumming.

I mean the movie isn’t about drumming. It’s about mental and emotional abuse.

The book it’s based on is heavily based on the author’s experiences as a soldier in WWI.

I never saw the original unfortunately, I live under a rock sometimes.

I don’t recall a butterfly, just a quiet forest

Did not know this was a book, will probably pick this up thank you

The opposing faction always appears with red name plates showing that they are hostile, same as hostile NPCs.

For an encore, check out Johnny Got His Gun. It’s even more powerful.

I caught it on TV when I was a kid. Not something kids should ever see.

The original is a bit dated as it’s almost 100 years old…

…but it ends with this amazing scene of a soldier in a trench seeing a cute butterfly land nearby and he begins to reach out for it. A reminder that even in the horrors of war there can be beautiful momen-

AND THEN HE GETS BLOWN AWAY.
