I’ve already seen a reaction to this news in one of my fan groups, and it’s been mostly positive.
Not everyone is happy though.
I think making the game more accessible is a good thing, and I look forward to healing my Alliance buddies!

Boo! Hiss!
It’s like they are trying to drive me away from this game.
And there’s the lore reason why the Alliance and Horde will forever and ever remain in a truce. Except with BGs and Warmode, gotta get those old grudges out of the way.
I’m very much looking forward to this. about a third of my raid would prefer to play alliance. for season 4 we tried a cross faction set up with a couple of communities tying it all togehter, and from an administrative point of view it was awful. communities are just poorly implemented.
so we made everyone go back horde for DF, until cross faction guilds are implemented.
hopefully soon, and not soon™ as blizz likes to do.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend…
and the enemy of my brother’s cousin’s sister’s uncle is my friend…
and the enemy of my brother in law’s bridesmaid’s sister’s cousin’s evil nephew’s kid is my friend…
Hope that clears the air about cross-faction guilding…
Just remove the faction barrier they’re so worried about enraging boomers and losing that faction change income.
Remove the faction barrier, sure.
I don’t see a need to remove the actual factions though
That’s what I meant. Still need 'em for Warmode, etc. Went ahead and edited my post.
