Cross-Faction Guild Names

Since Cross-Faction guilds will be a thing soon, guild names will get a little contradictory. Imagine for a moment a Night Elf goes into a Cross Faction guild. They might get some strange looks walking around Stormwind in a guild named “Built Horde Tough.” Or, have an Orc rolling through Orgrimmar in the guild “For the Alliance.”

So the question is if you’re planning to join a Cross Faction guild, what do you name it? What are some good Faction-Neutral guild names? I’m not talking about something so generic it could go either way. It would need to be obvious it has both Horde AND Alliance players.

Well I’ve got a Horde and Alliance in place that are March of the Ents and Allied March of the Ents

Alliance & Horde

So simple, so effective.

No reason to make it easy on them. Go with “Sylvanas Simps” and make the Night Elves suck it up.

How even? The only guilds that would fall contradictory is if the guild name breaks ToS.

Huh… Rubrum Caeruleum?

It’s edgy and makes you look smartacles.

I explained how though. Another example. A Night Elf joins the guild “Sylvanas Was Right.” Ok, there’s nothing inherently bad about that and it doesn’t break any ToS, but it does make people raise a few eyebrows.

“Didn’t she burn down your house?” That kinda contradiction.

The Horde Alliance? The Alliance Horde?

You realize there’s nothing stopping someone from making that guild on the Alliance right now?

I’m sure they already have. What I’m talking about is a faction member getting invited into an existing guild on the opposite faction with a name that would seem at odds with that new player.

Well, that’s their choice then, just like making a “For the Horde!” guild on the Alliance would have been.

I’ve seen a lot more worrisome guild names than some that might be a little faction confused.

And thus the question. What would a guild name be that you could tell was cross faction and not seem contradictory or insulting to the other side?

I feel like pretty much any guild name that doesn’t directly reference the factions would be fine.

Mine would work. So would yours. At a glance I don’t see anyone in this thread with a guild name that would seem incongruous with cross-faction members.

That’s what I meant about generic names. You couldn’t look and say “Army of Darkness,” that’s definitely got both Horde and Alliance in it.

After 10.1 has been out for a bit, I think that’s probably the assumption most people will make about any active guild.

Guilds that make it clear that they’re only one faction or the other will probably be in the severe minority.

(except maybe on RP servers, but they have their own rules)

“We wanna Hurl” comes to mind…

Oh please

Cross-faction guilds is probably the least lore-breaking thing that has ever happened. We’ve been interacting with organizations that have individuals from both factions since day one of Vanilla. Don’t be dramatic.
