Since Cross-Faction guilds will be a thing soon, guild names will get a little contradictory. Imagine for a moment a Night Elf goes into a Cross Faction guild. They might get some strange looks walking around Stormwind in a guild named “Built Horde Tough.” Or, have an Orc rolling through Orgrimmar in the guild “For the Alliance.”
So the question is if you’re planning to join a Cross Faction guild, what do you name it? What are some good Faction-Neutral guild names? I’m not talking about something so generic it could go either way. It would need to be obvious it has both Horde AND Alliance players.
I explained how though. Another example. A Night Elf joins the guild “Sylvanas Was Right.” Ok, there’s nothing inherently bad about that and it doesn’t break any ToS, but it does make people raise a few eyebrows.
“Didn’t she burn down your house?” That kinda contradiction.
I’m sure they already have. What I’m talking about is a faction member getting invited into an existing guild on the opposite faction with a name that would seem at odds with that new player.
I feel like pretty much any guild name that doesn’t directly reference the factions would be fine.
Mine would work. So would yours. At a glance I don’t see anyone in this thread with a guild name that would seem incongruous with cross-faction members.
Cross-faction guilds is probably the least lore-breaking thing that has ever happened. We’ve been interacting with organizations that have individuals from both factions since day one of Vanilla. Don’t be dramatic.
