I remember reading when cross-faction guilds were added that cross-faction toons would not be able to contribute to some/any of the guild achievements? ie a Horde toon joins a previously all Alliance guild, the Horde toon would not be able to contribute. Could anyone please verify if this is true? At the time my Horde toons joined a previously Alliance only Guild, there wasn’t a big focus on guild achievements but now we are trying to get some of them, and I’m wondering if I’m wasting my time having my Horde toons try to help out.
Does anyone know if this will be changed come TWW?
I did get an answer from Customer Support finally - cross-faction members cannot contribute to faction-specific achievements ONLY. Example:
Alliance members of a Horde guild cannot contribute progress toward the “Alliance Slayer” guild achievement.
CS also gave me a link to a “Cross-Faction Guilds Guide” on Icy-Veins (but apparently I’m not allowed to add a link for it.)
If you lack the Trust Level to directly include a link or image, you can still post the URL by wrapping it in punctuation or just highlighting it in your post and hitting the </> button.
It would then look like this:
https://www.icy-veins.com/wow/cross-faction-guilds-guide
But I can link it normally for you.
I get that, it just stinks that we can’t even get credit for raids and dungeons as a guild because it’s an alliance guild with 95% horde toons. I’m just trying to find a solution for achievements before starting a fresh horde guild.
this might change when TWW releases as there will be guild changes
