Obviously we’d be Lightforging undead back into the Alliance. Alonsus Faol would probably volunteer for it.
I was thinking we 'ought to Lightforge Grom, Baine, Anasterian, and Orgrim Doomhammer as well. Just completely cut out the Horde’s historical foundations right from underneath it. Fair is fair.
Considering thye narrative of my main´s Hall class, no thanks I rather put a dagger on the back on the walking embarrasement that was Shaw.
I think that if they erase the faction barrier they should just make every playable race nation´s a closed kingdom that do not care about their neighborns while the player then enjoys a 200% certified mercenary experience (ergo, we just break the 4th wall and the story aknowledges the truth we all know deep inside our souls: we just play for the rewards, NOT because of the words of ruined characters from a comically bad story).
Every race just goes in a “self explroratory” mode while the player is free to work for everybody and anybody for the right price. Wi/Win for even the PvPers cause their content can be explained as mercenary factions bumping against each other to reap the “benefits”, no more useless “muh genocide / muh prude / muh whatever” making races act OOC.
Alliance canonically won the Arathi Warfront, which replaced the Basin as a conflict over the region in any case.
Warsong I’ll grant you but only insomuch as we have zero clue as to what the current status of Kalimdor is at all because the writers are allergic to cleaning up their narrative messes.
The rest are essentially frozen in time, even Seething Shore is fighting over Azerite which is entirely irrelevant as a resource now. Not to mention, even if we did take the battlegrounds as current in this timespan, the majority of them existed even as the Alliance and Horde were fighting against threats together.
But honestly, to say those battlegrounds, any battlegrounds right now represent the current canon state of the conflict is downright silly. For god’s sake, in Deepwind Gorge you’re fighting over a chunk of land in the Valley of the Four Winds, which is on a continent both factions were likely booted out of years ago.
Are you now going to try and claim the same thing happened to Calia? and not the fact that she became undead? Are you then going to claim that Calia becoming undead against her will as some Horde planned conversion therapy?
I wouldn’t be surprised if that was your intended goal of whatever conversational olive branch you are trying to make with me with your reply.
It’s been pretty useful for RP. If it were up to me, I’d have language books in places like Dalaran or Dire Maul where people can learn other races languages and each time they use the book the percentage they know goes up, with 100% being a full understanding of the language. A cast bar would be used when reading the books, like when making items in professions, so that it takes time and can’t be clicked on repeatedly to learn it really fast. Or, dungeons that are themed to the race whose language you want to learn have an already existing boss that you can loot the book from with a 100% drop rate, and those books can be sold on the auction house. Each book would give 10% language comprehension or some such.
Considering only like 10 people know about it, and the fact that both parties need to have the effect, it’s pretty useless outside of RP. And even then many people ignore it.
