Cross-faction communication

Can we PLEASE be able to speak to players from the opposite faction? I am fed up with farming a rare only to find Horde players and being unable to ask or reply to them about when it last spawned.

This is ridiculous, you can’t be serious when you say this restriction is due to players misbehaving. We have players insult and harass others FROM THE SAME FACTION. Who cares, lift this restriction already.

Make it a gold-sink tome or a year-long timegated ability, I DON’T CARE, just make it possible please. I beg you.

It only works if BOTH players use it.

If I use it, I can understand Orcish, but they won’t be able to understand me.

Just play velves, 90% of the horde are blood elves so you can speak Thalassian to each other :+1:

Elixer of tongues for classic if you’re talking about classic.

Might work for retail too.

At bare minimum the trade chat channels should be cross-faction just like instance/party/raid is.

Boy, that takes me back. All the way to the Beta I think.

My Undead Warlock talking to an Ally warlock in Stonetalon, using Demonic.

I didn’t even know languages still existed in the game.

Haha, I miss that. plus pranking my old roommate by switching his language settings while he was afk and watching him meltdown as everything he said ingame came out in taurahe and he couldn’t work out how to turn it off.

Unrelated to anything topical, grats for passing 40K achievement points, whenever you did that.

That’s bananas.

Good idea. The common tongue between us will be “WoW player”. Everything you say will be converted to a toxic condescending message.

I’d rather it be available in the Game Services Shop than be a quest.

Throw them a group invite and if they accept then talk to them? This reminds me of that scene in Robin Hood Men In Tights where Chappelle is just hopping back and forth across the creek trying to convince Robin that he doesn’t need to fight to cross the bridge.

“This is not that critical.”

You ask someone if they want to run a dungeon. Game translates it to WoW player speak and it comes out as: “Heals? Can you play the game? Are you smart enough to push buttons?”

There’s a potion for that.

It is kinda ridiculous that the faction leaders have always been able to communicate. So, why can’t we?

Being formally in the Horde why can’t I speak to them? How did I forget a whole language? Man that dwarven ale is strong!

How did I forget that gnomes are delicious? (Holds her head and shakes) I’m so confused… the voices are arguing again!

I need cookies!

Learn to speak bear, and encourage others to do the same.

I speak tooth hurts mumble that kinda sounds like bear.

I remember farming the ruby droplet back during Mists on Timeless Isle and me and this blood elf would pass little messages back and fourth by renaming our companion pets then emoting off of them

Yeah things like old Barrens chat were such a cesspool that the idea that it was about players being toxic specifically in cross faction comms always seemed a bit silly.

I don’t think trade chat would survive on Moonguard if that went live.

With what? I’ve literally never seen a tank take 40% ticks every two seconds consistently.

I’d rather it just be a feature of the game

The factions are at peace for right now, but we can’t talk to each other?

Oh, but it’s OK for the NPC‘s of opposite factions to talk to each other
