As they continue to work on this whole zone to zone smooth flying thing, I’d love to be able to fly from all of the continents and islands to each other. Kalimdor to Dorn to Pandaria to Zandalar, etc. Just keep flying. Would be awesome.
I wondered about this a while back when I finally got the hang of Skyriding. I love those jet streams you can catch to help propel you up when you need it. It’d be cool to grab one of those to take you between continents, like a hyperjump but Warcraft.
That’s a humongous world to keep all one map though.
I don’t think it’d be possible. Even just considering how out-of-scale all the landmasses are, the continent-based buffs, and some ambiguously placed areas like Naz’jatar.
It’d need to be a fancy load zone
It’s an old issue that has its roots from the expansion system this game uses. Why should you be able to fly over a zone you didn’t pay the expansion for, I think is where they going.
Same reason Ghostlands has a loading zone towards plaguelands.
If you don’t own War Within, Rasha’nan just pops up and eats you for flying near Khaz Algar
