If you haven’t seen it the devs talk about there being hundreds of runes in the 1-25 leveling bracket to discover. he says some of this is because there are so many starting areas and just because you discover a rune one way in one starting zone doesn’t mean you’ll discover it the same way in another.
We already have confirmation from Platinumwow’s video that Paladins are getting Howling Blast, so who the hell knows what runes we’ll be getting that haven’t been revealed yet
We don’t know if that’ll be available at 25.
And yeah…9 classes. 12 runes a class is 108 runes in the 25 bracket. Hopefully even more hidden.
Yeah I haven’t seen Platinums vid yet but I’m gonna watch it soon. I just keep seeing everyone on the forums assume there’s only so many runes in the game. I wish people could just wait and play the game like the rest of us. The dev in this interview specifically says its going to be far more than we know of right now.
Yeah he made it sound like there are more than just the starting ones. I do like how there is no one set way to discover them either. Just because someone in Elwynn finds a rune for Crusader Strike through a quest doesn’t mean they’ll find it through a quest in Dun Morogh.
Warlock meta rune for alliance should be a random drop from any mechanical enemy in the 10-20 range mwhahaha
Maybe there’s a lot more even at 25 than we’ve seen, but I’d also point out if you saw official Blizzard interviews and announcements around D4, they essentially ignore all datamining and things fans already know about and pretend like it doesn’t exist. They would act like there were a ton of items we hadn’t seen yet, but that was only based on not seeing them via any official Blizzard source when we had actually already seen the entire list of legendary aspects and uniques via datamining before the game launched.
They do seem to be actually trying to hide a lot more for SoD though so maybe we’ll have twice as many runes per class at 25 and be surprised. 
Although based on the wording he’s also counting duplicates of the same runes in the “hundreds” figure from different sources.

Well they said at 19 min, it’s 12 per class to lvl 25, so for the first phase it’s pretty much what we know now, but is is exciting what phase 2 will bring.
It’s gonna be crazy for people who don’t know how its going to work with discovery because people in guilds are going to tell others of their class how they found certain runes and they might not be able to discover them the same way. Lots of confusion will be had tomorrow.
I hope tomorrow is full of shock and awe, I hope runes is just the tip of the iceberg, imagine logging in and seeing Human Hunters being a thing or other crazy shenanigans!, regardless I’m ready to simply have fun for what’s ahead!.
OMG. That would be crazy. I am not expecting new race/class combos but if there were more night elf options I’d be happy. NE mages!? yes please.
Who knows I guess we will “Discover” that tomorrow haha, I just hope people go into SoD with an open mind and just have the attitude to have fun with what’s given.
That’s what I’m doing too. I dont know why so many people are panicking… just go play that game. Min/Max builds will be figured out soon. Enjoy discovering while you can.
