Critical Errors on Opening Wow

I keep getting critical errors that stop Wow on opening the game. There is an error report sent, but I wonder if this is only me. My drivers are all up to date, and my system is new. Very weird. Edit: Now it wont open and this: You Have Been Disconnected. (WOW51900308)!

Howdy!

This looks like a third party conflict: “RTSSHooks64.dll” might be MSI Afterburner or another GPU related application. As for the WOW51900308 this can occur if you run World of Warcraft directly instead of using the Blizzard app. If you are using the Blizzard application to run the game try a fullUI reset.

Thank you!

I’m also now running Razer Cortex, but wasn’t when this first happened. Also, HWMonitor and GPU Tweak II. Anyhow, I will follow your advice and report back.

Edit: I turned off both MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner Statistics Server and the game stared no problems. This seems to be an issue others have had in both Wow and other games. Too bad, because it’s nice to have on screen temperature, etc. monitoring. Anyhow, thanks.

Edit2: Also, I am using the Blizzard app, and did not try a full UI reset since closing MSI Afterburner, and specifically RTSS worked.

Edit3: Strange this was not a problem yesterday, but is now. :open_mouth:

Tigereye,

There may be some corruption with one of the overlays. You might try reinstalling those apps entirely to see if it fixes. Beyond that, you’ll want to work with MSI / RivaTuner support to identify the problem.
