Critical damage stat

Wouldn’t it be cool and super broken?

There are some games that has crit dmg. And you, like, build crit chance+crit damage and slowly deal massive damage with crits, but almost no damage with regular damage.

It would be cool for a bit, super broken and then probably feel terrible.

GW2 has this and it works in there due to how gear is done and how high crit chance goes. There are easily available buffs and things you can put in your gear that can easily push your crit chance to 100% alone. Even without investing much into it you’re likely looking at 40-60%. Not sure how much crit people tend to have at the end of an expansion, but most ppl I see are around…20% ish? It’d probably feel terrible, imo. The game wasn’t designed around it and it’d be a lot of effort to implement for not much gain.

Because what WoW needs is for damage to be even more bursty. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
