I’m a human BM hunter. I have 35% overall Crit. 25% from gear.
Is DR for crit the 35% overall or 25% from gear? OR, Does DR start at an even higher % for crit?
I’ve always took it as being an over-all thing, and that diminishing returns start at 36% for all secondary stats.
From Icey veins: In Shadowlands , however, there are diminishing returns or penalties when you reach certain secondary stat thresholds . From 0 to 30% there is no penalty ; From 30-34% there’s a 10% penalty; From 34-42% there’s a 20% penalty

I call it the progressive stat tax. It’s still hard for me to imagine reaching over 30% in anything, mainly because you need other secondaries for ideal math optimization.

I think the crit BM lego makes crit worth up until DR, especially in aoe. I’ve had up to 40% crit before the free 9% from the tree. It feels really good in AoE situations when you use beastial wrath.

Just sim your stats, I recently ran a stat sim and found out verse had shifted to my #1 ST stat as venth/bm. I lost 2 ilvl but gained 200 dps.
