Why is it an issue to leave it as it is? People who run multiple modes benefit while those who do not, do not?
The same issue with PVP gear. People donāt want to do it, and feel compelled to do so. (More so for raiders and m+)
Less for M+ players being compelled to raid.
āEveryoneā hated Torghast.
So still stupid. The gear you get is bad until you are rocking 2+ full sets of gear to play more than one game mode.
Like I said, itās stupid. Itās always going to be stupid.
Very few people like running around with multiple sets of gear to do content they enjoy.
And I repeat, PVP gearing is bad and has been bad for years. I do not understand why people look at that mess and say āWe need more of that.ā
Its the same problem with wanting to dual spec in Legion where its faster to have two different characters of the same spec for two different game modes because of gear acquisition
Thank you both.
I already have limited time as is and if something like this were to be added to the game I would just unsub.
A change like this would pretty much guarantee alts and off specs be DoA. All because you enjoy multiple forms of contentā¦
Anyways I do not really feel like arguing about a such a bad take so I hope everyone has a good day.
No, itās not faster on a second character. How is it possibly faster?
(I guess you can blame crafting) but you canāt blame game mode separation for that.
If you use sparks for one spec, you no longer have it available for another spec.
Iām not an advocate of splitting mythic+ and raid gearing, but the comment on PvP gearing is interesting.
Because in season 1 of SL when both PvP gear was good in PvE and PvE gear was good in raids it was extremely vocal that PvPers wanted PvP gear to be for PvP and PvE players to want PvE gear for PvE. The voices calling that system good were definitely drowned out.
But maybe it was actually bad to separate them like they did in SL season 2? It seemed like a super popular decision then.
I donāt want to manage two gear sets myself. But give me two paper dolls to equip, and Iām sold.
Iām suprised they didnāt go with Aspects requiring +10 unless they moved the final affix down to a +9.
But honestly this makes more sense as now Drake Crests will drop from +2 and +3 keys for lower tier upgrades. Unless +2 and +3 drop no crests which would be odd, or whelpling which would be funny. They didnāt really specify anything about this key range tho.

The worst part about it is keeping a second set of gear organized, enchanted, etc.
And about the only thing they can do to improve that is give us a system where it wouldnāt actually be in our bags but that doesnāt solve most of the problems with a multiple set system. It just takes the bag space out of the equation.
Personally the idea of separating more modes and giving more sets to keep track of sounds absolutely and utterly terrible.
I do not wish to have three paper doll panes for raiding, m+, and pvp.
Stop shifting gear goalposts. People push keys for rating flexes if they go super high. Rest of player just want some reasonable gear farm.

I assume 2-3 will drop drake crests although they didnāt specify. I canāt imagine mythic 0 drops drake, then +2 and +3 drop nothing?
I also think they missed an opportunity to align the crests with the new affix landing.
1 affix - drake
2 affix - wyrm
3 affix - aspect
āSimilarā to how raid has:
Normal - drake
Heroic - wyrm
Mythic - aspect
Yeah Iām suprised they didnāt bring up any plans on smoothing out the Heroic Dungeons to M0 transition. Or they have some plans but didnāt bring them up.
3 doll panes is better than PVP gear being competitive in PVE or mythic raid gear being better in mythic plus.
I donāt think itās a big deal for PvE gear to be good in PvE content.
Mythic Raid and Mythic Plus might as well be two different game modes.

Thereās nothing to smooth over.
Mythic Raid and Mythic Plus might as well be two different game modes.
Two different game modes that have a ton of population overlap and are currently easy to migrate in between.
No thanks on ruining that.
How much population overlap that want to be there?
Torghast had 100%. (Unless people wanted to play without legendaries.)
I do both modes, and would like separation.
I find the transition clunky and poorly done personally, but I guess no one else agrees.
You have a mode where nothing matters really, and a mode where stuff does matter.
Why is that not okay?
