Running through delves give an incredibly tiny amount of crests. 2 runed per run at tier 8.
I do get there needs to be a limit and I’m actually fine with 2 at 8.
However i don’t believe that should be the case for 9-11. What’s the point of these difficulties if they don’t actually give extra rewards? They’ll be done with the achieve/zekvir unlock once and that’s it.
I believe 9 and 10 should give 3 and 4 runed crests respectively, while tier 11 can give 1 or 2 gilded. For such a low amount it’d be fair, and if the players use that to sacrifice for the weird 4/6 upgrades instead of getting new gear later, since you can’t get myth track gear from delve, it’d still be quite limited.

I get more of everything running Heroics. I am overgeared and familiar with all of them. 15 min runs for nearly double what I got in Delves. Granted, the gear is not an upgrade but I am ironically there for the crests to upgrade my gear. So in a way, it makes sense for me.
I would not be surprised if Season 2 does more with the higher difficulties of delves. I think they were cautious with them, especially given how much they messed with tuning at release. I don’t presume to know what the ‘right’ loot answer is, but I think it doesn’t make sense in the long run to have three tiers that don’t do anything except bragging rights – it’s not like M+ where it’s a nigh-infinite scale so there has to be a cut off for anything but bragging rights.

I think it would great for t9 n t10 to give extra runed crests and t11 to give a couple gilded crests. It would encourage people to do the higher tiers after getting the achievements. Once you get the achievements, there really isn’t any reason to do anything beyond t8.

I’ve been pushed into trying to grab runed crests from T8 delves given the atrocious and painful state of M+ and trying to upgrade this season… and finding delves also slow and painful. If a delve can take 15min and you get 2 crests while a +4 takes ~30min and gives 12, wtf? Timed M+ content is 6x more valuable? Though, given how bad the M+ season is, pugging +4s isn’t guaranteed 12 crests.
I guess there is also the god awful queueing and setup times this season as DPS, so maybe that +4 takes, all-in, 60-90min. That’s 4-6 delves at 15min a run, so maybe that’s the logic. It’s the same speed as M+ including the god awful pug experience. Upgrading is just terribly unfun this season, and so is M+.
