I am current wearing 2 431 trinkets, both of them have been upgraded through the crest system. I have a 424 trinket I want to upgrade, it is still asking me for crests. As per the guide;
" Crest Discounts
For a given slot, once you obtain gear of a certain item level, either from upgrading or from drops, all future upgrades won’t cost any Crests to be upgraded. This discount is NOT account-wide. Rings and Trinkets require two of a certain item level to unlock the discount."
Am I doing something wrong? I have a 431 pocket anvil and 431 spear fragment equipped, and it wants me to spend crests to upgrade 424 loaded dice I got in freehold. This seems broke. I tried moving the trinkets around in different slots, logging in and out. Still asking me for crests. Anyone else know what to do, is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry this is the character I have the trinkets on, so people can inspect and verify.
“Once you upgrade or obtain an item at a certain item level, any upgrades to other items to reach that item level for that given slot will have a discount. For instance, once you obtain a 434 chest piece, upgrading any other chest piece up to 434 will have discounts.”
Honestly didn’t know this was a thing, but it definitely sounds like a bug.

I have the same issue with trinkets, not sure if it’s a bug or just more Blizzard nonsense.
It wouldn’t surprise me if there are bugs with the upgrade system, hopefully they will focus on getting them ironed out now that they have admitted they intend to use it again next season.
It’s probably worth an in-game ticket just to get clarification.

I did create a ticket, but I was hoping someone else knew a trick to get this to register somehow or reset it.
Try swapping the trinkets from one slot to another. I know it sounds weird, but maybe it has something to do with wanting two different trinkets in the same slot.
Yea im not sure, but non of my gear i get from M+ is displaying as mythic gear its weird

Darn. Sorry. Check Bug Reports and see if there are any threads up about it. If not, add one so they can add it to the list of so many issues.

I wish. I just farmed more crests…sucked but got no answer from any of my bug report posts or gm tickets.
IIRC the discount doesn’t apply to trinkets
Could it be because of expansion differences?
Do items from Freehold dungeon(BfA) count as qualifying for the upgrade bonus or only items from DF??
