Crest system

Makes me sick

They need to put numbers on the icons. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve exchanged the wrong crests due to the fact that all the icons look identical and the silly made up names they all have may as well be pure gibberish.

huh? The upgrade costs 90, the downgrade costs 15. Pretty easy to know which way you’re going.

Aesthetically, they probably should have made the colors of the gem in the icons correspond to the rarity system in game. White for Weathered, green for Carved, blue for Runed, purple for Gilded. Because it’s pretty silly that two are purple and two are blue.

Yea, I’m not a fan of it either. WoW developers seem to have a fetish with currencies and making them confusing as well.

Eh. I’d still rather they just KISS and put numbers on the icons. 1 = lowest tier, 2 = next one up etc. They’ve already got some icons with numbers on them so it’s not a big stretch.

Make gilded legendary for sure. :stuck_out_tongue: but this is a great idea.

Upgrade systems contribute to gear feeling less meaningful. Just saying.

Crests should be easy to figure out, remove the Valorstones portion cause Crests already take enough time to get, the valorstones should be the T1 Crests for Non M0 gear for upgrading. Then don’t name them, just number them, +0-3, +4-7, etc… that way you know where they came from and what you need to go get them. Or better yet, get rid of Crests and just use Valorstones with an ever scaling amount needed to match ilvl and track of gear. Starting dirt cheap for Non M0 and then getting to at least 500 for a Mythic upgrade. Make them a little less to get from open world stuff, and put bulk of them into the instance stuffs.

There are way too many currencies for me. I just ignore the whole system. I don’t group so I don’t mess up anyone else’s game with low gear. I do miss gear rewards. Renown or currencies just aren’t as satisfying for me.
