Allow players to buy BOA crests on their mains. For example:
The cost of 1 BOA aspect crest would be 4 regular aspect crests.
This would allow players to dump their mountain of crests on something useful, gearing alts.

If you are drowning in crests why not make a way to “sell” them without making them BOE/BOA?

If one doesn’t want to use their crests to craft things for others, then just vendor them for the 5g.
Should probably stop at wyrm crests though. Let the M+/Raiders enjoy there ilvl gap for the 3-4 months it will be relevant.
Not that BOE/BOA is a bad idea. I wouldn’t mind getting them in bulk off the AH.

I don’t even want them account wide as much as I’d just like to be able to use them for something. Whether that’s for account wide stuff or mog, or w/e idc. Something.
i have a main with a stack of 40 aspect crests and 2 alts starving for them. it feels stupid not being able to do anything with them except vendor them
You can’t use your own crests to make enchanted crests for other people. They have to provide the crests themselves. Personally I’m a fan of the BoA deal though, I do want to make an alt, but I also don’t want to put in another two weeks of hard grinding to hear it up again when I have an abundance on my main currently.

Hence my idea to change that.
Being able to use crests to craft, send to alts, use as currency for other things, all good ideas over just vendoring them.

Crests are like gear drop token. Just a lot more steps than taking it to a vendor. So BoA crests would essentially be BoA gear drops.
Only limiting factor to gearing an alt that hasn’t stepped into raid or dungeon to 447 would be how many sparks they have.

As awesome as it would be to gear my alts by running 16’s on my main… I strongly doubt it.
End game gear progression is pretty solidly in the realm of leveling a character, not an account.

Blizz doesn’t understand that I will play more, when gearing alts is easier.
One thing I came across in Loam and found to be outright a Bait was the crest vendor where you can trad crests for different ones.Why can we downgrade the Drake’s crest into Whelpling crests when the Whelpling ones we get flooded with over the Latter. it needs to be the other way around. I would gladly burn my 50 whelpling crests for Drakes. Then buy the next tier after with my Drake crests.But some reason put that npc there just to trick you into downgrading good crests if you don;t pay attention and I have seen and heard frm people that actually did this.
And making them BOA or being able to spend them to buy a Bag which is BOA and has a tiny bit less crests then you paid (Like the bags etc from shadowlands).Then the problem would be well and truly fixed.
For me I am at the point with a chunk of my gear needing Wyrm and Higher and I honestly don’t see myself getting them anytime soon which is quite sad.
And the Enchanted Crests being placed where they are and not in more content was a bad dea. I refuse to do LFR now that Need before Greed basically ruined it and by not doing it I cant get said Enchanted crests to upgrade my crafted weapons. I dont like PvP Raiding or Myth+ since that is now my style of play so I really don;t mind being 424 or so once im done with current slow slow slow process that they implemented and wait for the next main patch 10.2 where Crests will be removed from the game anyway (According to the All the things addon which is usually accurate about that stuff).
