Its kinda really low…? Can we maybe… idk, remove it when you get the achieve for outgrowing it? I have so many packs of crests I cant use until cap goes up and I wanna buy the higher crests…

Conversion is not meant as a way to provide sufficient means to cap the crest type above the content you regularly do.

I am 100% capped on every crest and I got to ilvl 629. Seems like its to gate your ilvl. I haven’t seen that many people above 629 either.

629 seems about right for someone who’s earning gilded crests and had decent vaults. Personally im a bit higher but I’m mythic raiding and progressing later bosses.
Ilvl rises gradually so as to let players gradually overcome content and challenges. If ilvl is too easy to acquire then the expected ilvl for players engaging in a given piece of content increases, resulting in less potential ilvl above the requirement for players to gain to overcome the challenge.

I have been doing M+ and mythic raiding. lol. I just wanted something to do with the lower crests I ALREADY have.

I mean you can convert them up to the weekly cap to save yourself doing more runs, but it makes sense you couldn’t for example cap gilded crests purely by farming excessive amounts of runed crests.
Like for the whole season? Or for the start of it when it matters?
I expect they’ll remove it in the 0.7 patch, which is fine.
That’s fair. I haven’t gone all out on trying to max gilded yet. 1/2 way there with second craft.
