Crest Acquisition Improvements Coming Next Week in 11.0.7

Your posts using S1 names makes it seem like you’re going to revert back to 12 for completion, 5 for depletion in future seasons. That would just be crazy silly.

If they remove depletion, crests for fail goes to 0.

Im aware

I mean the upgrading since I had over 1000 of each of the bottom 2 crests lol, woulda got way more gilded at 45 per conversion

Yup, literally sent out a guild order for a staff last night. Would have been able to also craft a belt on my monk if this was in place or announced more than a few business days before the change went live.

These look like some useful changes.

Why is it cheaper to upgrade make a 636 piece than to actually upgrade, that makes little sense. Is this intended to be only for people who have the achievement providing a discount?

They’re just gonna complain about valorstones now.

Good changes. Now more people will be willing to finish bricked keys. Getting 5 crests is an absolute joke.

We’ve been complaining about valorstones / flightstones since dragonflight so that’s nothing new haha

Well, blizzard did nothing to address the concern of crests railroading you into M+ (if anything, they made it worse).

SAME cries

lol

How many times can a player leave a m+ run before they catch a suspension/ban? Are emergencies n other unforeseen circumstances an exception all of the time? Why is it okay to kick someone from a m+ run but not leave?

All these questions that won’t be addressed, n more! :open_hands:

That’d be logical, but Blizzard just decided that bricking keys needed to be more rewarding so idk

The crests scaling changes with M+ levels is amazing, making crests drop more from higher difficulties I feel make this much better.

The crafting change is a bit dubious unless you consider that it should be unlocking after you unlock the 636 achievement? As then the cost to upgrade would be half by 50% which makes sense then to reduce crafting by 50%? Removing this from the start doesn’t seem to add up to me.

Making it so you can turn 45 crests to 15 of a higher crest also doesn’t seem to make sense when on one part you keep saying that players should do harder content to get better rewards by removing valor in favor of the crests system. If by any point you can run a content around 3 times faster and it’s easier then it will be worth to do that content way more than to do those higher difficulties.

Make them account bound or delete them. You are either capped or starved, no in between.

Pretty wild that bricking a 7 will give you 14 Runed lol.

My guess is that it was 90 because of the higher ilevel jump. In DF S4, the enchanted aspect crest (60 crests) only gave 10 ilevels over the wyrm version. That’s 6 crests per ilevel.

In TWW, the 90 crests gave a 17 ilevel boost which is something like 5.2 crests per ilevel. That’s actually a better ratio.

This change will make it almost twice as good as the equivalent in DF.

The last 2 heroic bosses dropping 30 crests was very nice actually.

in DF S4, it was 60 for myth 3. now, it was then changed to 90 for myth 5. So they increased both the power and the cost by a flat 2 levels.

Too little, too late.

If this remains going forwards in 11.1 maybe it’ll keep the season alive longer-- all my friends have already quit until next patch.
