It’s late enough in the season that there’s no reason to limit the charges. I mean, maybe make a catalyst charge purchasable from the vault vendor.

Or just make them weekly or unlock them… Like there is actually zero reasons to make it complicated.

im just dealing with what they have dealt. besides i can wait 2 years to finish the mythic sets.
Would just make sense to me to allow players to unlock the lower tier appearance automatically if you already have a higher version of that piece.

What? It takes 9 charges to make a full set, so even if they made it weekly at the launch, this is week 14. You’d be 4 charges short to hit the two sets necessary for LFR and mythic.
Since you don’t seem to understand the problem… the way people are getting the mogs are to get a piece of gear, convert it to get one tmog, then level the piece of gear to 5/8 to get the tmog of the next set up.
While you CAN convert pieces of gear after the season is over, you can no longer level them. There’s the problem.
Additionally, there’s the problem of not wanting to clog up your bags carrying around piles of pieces of gear you don’t need just waiting to convert them.

ive been doing the exact same thing.
my original comment didnt take into account upgrades. but im not lying in it either. you will be able to use the catalyst infinitely on season 1 items.
You get it from other sources too which supplements enough, actual drops in raid and KSM/AOTC.
No one claimed you were lying. You’re just ignoring the good reasons people have for wanting to convert the things NOW instead of later. We all already know we can convert them later. (Which is the original point of the thread.)
imo the catalyst was a mistake.
they should have max 4 charges or only usable on tier slots.
It’s one of the best features they’ve added to the game in the past 10+ years, imo.

so you’d rather beg blizz for something they probably wont do this season…
rather than being proactive and get it done now and have peace of mind later…
I’ll do what I have to do, but I’m going to voice my dislike about it while I do it.

well at least season 2 tier sets look better
The game has been live for four months which at this point is almost 17 weeks which means we’ve had nine catalysts. Literally half the game is spent getting one for free. Is this a sense of entitlement or just a personality disorder where you have to have everything five minutes ago?
