I thought that the tier pieces we made were supposed to have appropriate stats on them for the spec and class we played? All of the Prot. Paladin gear has high crit on it with very little haste, mastery or versatility? You guys do know that you made us so basically crit is the LAST stat we want right?
So they didn’t take the time like they used to and make Tier Sets as they were? Class specific and spec specific? That is just lazy… Good thing I have been waiting on some creativity and work coming from the Devs… All that extra crit is a waste on me. It is pretty much the same for Blood DK… Not much point in bothering. Good job, guys… well done…
Tier pieces have always been a set collection of stats and never perfect for one spec because the token is shared across specs and not every one has the same priorities.
no, its fixed stats based on the tier slot. you can still get a reasonable amount of stats from the other gear. or rather, with ilvl, your preferred stats dont move too much. unless you rng the “wrong” stats on the other gear too
The original Tier sets had Spec appropriate stats, or at least stats that were viable for the classes they were for (usually had 3 stats if not), so loading me with massive amounts of crit is worthless. As tanks you are better off just getting upper level Mythic+ gear. Tier 4 sets. Tier 5. While the casters may have been very similar… the Melee classes were different… None of which had completely worthless stats for any of them…
That’s because the game had things like spellpower and spirit, back then.
I can tell you for a fact that the Haste on the Tier 4 feral druid set wasn’t useful to me as a bear tank, especially since we had a fixed autoattack rate.
So no, old tier sets were not well-itemized per spec.
Feral was both tank and melee dps in Tier 4. None of the gear, tier or otherwise, was useful for both. You couldn’t have picked a worse spec to make your point.
