Creation catalyst wont work on crafted gear?

[…] Tier slots cannot be made from crafted gear, and charges must be accumulated by completing an account-wide quest on your roster.

Hey Blizzard, do the non-stupid thing and give us a reagent to convert crafted gear into a tier piece.

Idgaf if I can’t pick the stats. I don’t want a month worth of Knowledge/Primal farming and 80% of entire professions to be a waste of time.

Also, paste these stupid decisions in the profession tree. I literally only found out about this via a Reddit post that quoted a Wowhead page that referenced a Twitch interview with a dev. From a month ago.

If you’d released the Catalyst at the start of the expansion this won’t piss off so many people.

They didn’t allow it in SL either, this is nothing new.

Except Shadowlands wasn’t centered on a Professions/Knowledge/Weekly time-gated crafting system that literally promises the ability to craft mythic quality gear.

And finally, this expansion was supposed to be the antithesis of Shadowlands.

If you’re doing the content required to turn crafted gear into “mythic quality gear”, then you’re doing the content that will drop Season 3 gear eligible to convert to Tier already. Seems like a non issue to me.

World Content has its own “set” this time around with the Primal Storm 385 gear so I don’t feel like casuals are somehow being crapped on by not being able to turn crafted gear into tier here.

Man. They should get some kind of website or forum where they can post this stuff directly to the players/

That isn’t true, and that isn’t the issue.

And you can. But nowhere did it say you can craft tier. Nor should you. Make items for other slots and not the 4 slots for tier bonuses. Problem solved.

Where in game does it say you can’t?

You’re arguing for the consistency of an illogical system on the merits that it’s been illogical before and should stay that way.

I mean Tier sets were exclusively given to raiders for over a decade. The same reason M+ and PvP has access to it is the same reason they should be craftable in DF.

You need 4 slots from M+, boohoo. Idk why you thought there would have been a change from how it worked from SL without reading anything about it. You got disappointed by pure assumptions.

Im more mad at the charge cap.

This thing is how i filled out tier sets last patch on a bunch of characters and it was nice when i had 49 charges in some characters lol

I’m guessing he probably put in 50-60 knowledge points on one or more of chest/head/hands/shoulders/legs crafting specialization and now it’s wasted because he can’t craft gear to use for tier AND nobody will buy his crafted gear since they will be going for tier in those slots either.

Ultimately the player is responsible for being informed, this game is such that it’s long been expected that you have to seek out information on third party websites, and there’s an entire WoW ecosystem out there. But I understand his frustration given how hard it is to grind knowledge points right now.
