it looks like the creation catalyst is removing tertiary stats.
I had a pair of gloves with speed, I turned them into tier, the speed went away.
I gained a second set of gloves with speed and knowing the issue before I went to the catalyst and put them in to see if it was a 1 time thing. The indication of the item to be the result shows no speed either.
oddly, this doesn’t seem to be hitting sockets.

I had the exact same thing happen to me, lost speed on gloves. I just received a ticket response and they said too bad so sad report your issue here so it hopefully gets resolved later.
How is this still not fixed
Because it is not broken. If the gloves in question are the High Speed ones from Mechagon then the speed is a guaranteed affix and not a tertiary roll. So when you change it from being High Speed Gauntlets to tier it no longer has the guaranteed speed.
