Tier has predetermined stats as was stated multiple times by Blizz and players and shown in the preview window to you.

It converts it into the stats of the actual tier piece from raid. Prevents choosing your tier secondaries, which would likely cause people to be “forced” to reroll pieces they already had if it was the wrong stats

Because that’s what it does?

It gives you a preview of what the stats will change to. If you don’t like the new stats, don’t convert your gear.

It turns your non-tier gear into tier gear.
Some tier gear is set items.

Guys, there’s a UI that shows you what you’re getting. There should be 0 shock factor to what you get.

Reading is hard apparently

This has been very well communicated multiple times.

You are assuming everyone goes to 3rd party sites, and they don’t. Or even comes to forums for that matter for blue posts. Most people don’t even read GMOTD. If you don’t do either of those things, then it was very confusing.

It literally shows you the item it’s being turned into.

The problem is the text of what it turns into in the description is the same… that’s why so many people have done it wrong. Obviously most people got it right… but a ton of people were confused and did it wrong. That doesn’t mean they are dumb, it just means the system needs to be more clear. I KNOW YOU GET IT, I do… but this isn’t about you.

In the age of the internet, ignorance is a choice. I don’t feel bad for those who fail to investigate basic knowledge.

Because you purposely turned it into a new piece of gear.

The Catalyst specifically shows you what the output is.

Hey, if it’s bad for pvp, it’s good for the game.

it’s called Dev Humor. it is similar to the huge aggro range on the birds and the banshee blast spell that knocks players off their mounts in ZM.

devs give u what you want but with a caveat (or two).

It shows you directly what the item turns into.

I don’t have to worry about it changing my stats, since it won’t accept any of my gear…

IMO “it shows you what the item turns into”
Isn’t an adequate response to answering why the stats change. Not saying there aren’t explanations, just that this isn’t one.
As a Pvp RDruid for example, I have to sacrifice a slot that could be haste/verse to either a crit/mastery item or crit/haste item.
It just feels bad as the player.

All this would be no problem if it wasn’t timegated, from a timegate, from a timegate. A lot of people are waiting on their set bonuses to be exact. some people have full sets, and some people are not that lucky. Quit defending the design. The purpose of the game is to have fun and not feel like you have a disadvantage to other players. It’s THAT simple defenders of bliz.

At least you knew what you’re getting versus an RNG roll of Spirit and +DEF.

Yo, maybe the OP never went to school!
