Is it still necessary to do the somewhat lengthy introductory questline to make a new DH, or is there is any sort of skip available?

I’m pretty sure you can just make one straight away. I don’t even think they do their original class intro anymore but I could be wrong.
You do have to go through the stater zone for them. I just made one two weeks ago.

Aye, I just started one up to check and he spawned on Mardum. That’s a bit sad, why not have them start as other races like the Nighborne do, with a portal to go to your faction city?
Ah well, if I decide to go ahead I’ll do it when I have time, thanks.
Because they’re a Hero Class with their own starter zone and start at level 8.
At least it isn’t as painful as the OG DK starting zone where the interrogation quest can go from 5 minutes to an hour.
The OG dk starting zone was a nightmare still is depending o. the race you choose.

I’m still stunned that the ‘interrogation’ quest has not been redone or flat out removed. You can go around poking Scarlets for longer than 10 minutes if you’re real unlucky. I think my record was 20. I was just REAL unlucky.
Anyway, as mentioned you still have to do the quest, but hey. At least you get a free set of blue gear to start off with during it.
