So for example… on my warlock I just fought THE SAME 2600 team THREE TIMES IN A ROW… AGAIN. When there are many other teams going. Because I’m closest in MMR to them the matchmaking keeps putting us against them over and over and over and over. So basically they get to get fed off of teams 500+ cr lower than them BUT I don’t get put against teams 500+ cr lower than me? It’s absolutely broken. THAT is what causes the big teams to continue growing bigger while the middle teams get screwed. Think tn was enough to kill RBGs for good for me. I’m tired of fighting R1s EVERY SINGLE GAME…
you want them to be paired with a team 1000 less than them so you can score some free wins? I’m not sure what you think is a better march making method. Who should they play against?
Right, right you’re making total sense. So the 2600 team should just keep getting free wins off of me for 10 games in a row but GOD FORBID giving me one that 200-300 under, or you know my own rating, or ANYTHING but 2600+. THIS CAUSES THEM TO GET INFLATED…

It gives them more wins, but their rating likely won’t get impacted that much if at all.
Win/Loss doesn’t matter when it doesn’t impact your ranking.
Some people just like dumping on people who are worse than they are, smurfs are common in competitive games.
It actually DOES matter because between the time it takes to put a group together and then actually play the matches it’s dumping multiple hours for NOTHING. Which again… ruins incentive. I literally don’t know how to spell it out anymore plainly for y’all. Random BG queues take 20+ min sometimes and now I can’t even do RBGs because every match no matter what rating I am I’m somehow fighting 2600+ teams.
So Blizz is choosing to cater (yet again) to the streamers and high rated players while leaving the middle ground players to rot. I’m so so so happy those guys are having fun! Woo hoooooo! Good for them! What about the rest of us… we just gotta suffer through endless matches with dudes who spend their whole lives Qing with each other?
I’d suggest having a consistent group of people that you do RGB’s with and that you play to have fun, not to win. You’ll save yourself a lot of stress and time if you do that and I would even extend that to all games that have a competitive component.
The fact that you having to make a group, it taking 20+ minutes in queue and getting into games with 2600 teams as a 1800 is actually the game working as intended. MMR and CR aren’t the same and queues are based off of your MMR not CR which typically means, you getting queued into 2600 teams is just you getting queued into groups with similar skill.
But this likely isn’t the case for you as 20+ minutes is a long time to sit in queue so the game likely has things in place to give those players someone to play against even if it’s a 2600 team VS a 1800 team. RBG’s just aren’t popular enough or there’s simply too few players are your rating.
This isn’t a Blizzard issue, this is a player issue.

Where’s the random? All I see are you talking about rating for rated battlegrounds. This is like the DM VS VC for Deadmines. You only recently started saying random which I skim read your response to me (the first instance of you actually saying random) and I missed it that’s on me. If it’s a random battleground then who cares what you get queued into those wins literally don’t matter in the end.

Would you rather wait 30 minutes for queues or have a chance at climbing a lot of rating for beating higher teams?
Peoples main problem is tilt when they see the MMR of the opposing team in prep. “It’s a 2600 team guys we have no shot” everyone should have the same gear, give it a good ole college try and maybe win. ignore the rank 1 titles, give your team a pep talk.
The game is not very active rn, this is the game
Also there are very few 1800-2k teams queuing at this point in the season.

Even though you don’t respect me enough to read my full post before responding (and asking the same questions I already answered). Even though you don’t even PVP and this has nothing to do with you, yet you feel compelled to keep replying.
How is it random??? There are 4 ways to PVP… arenas, random BGs, RBGs, and world pvp (which is basically non-existant). If random BGs aren’t popping, there’s barely any wpvp, and RBG matchmaking sucks then 3 our of4 of the possible ways to PVP are useless lol.
@Shlomp I would 1000% rather wait 30min and get a time BUT that’s a non-issue. The times I am Q’ing for RBGs (weekend nights mostly) there are easily like a dozen teams playing. Yet somehow I keep getting the same 2600+ ones. Over and over. And I have screenshots to prove it. Whether I’m on my 1800 hunter or my 2300 lock/pri it doesn’t matter. Something is off with matchmaking.
Yeah could be bugged based on this entire xpacs performance.
What’s your source for the number of teams queueing though?
I see maybe one RBG group per night at prime time advertising for 1800ish rbgs

Nobody cares. There’s no team that will appear out of thin air the 31 minute mark. Use the 3rd party sites that track activity and get a grip lol
