Working on a build to max out the effects of Prayer of Mending for both damage and healing.

Talents

  • [Focused Mending] Prayer of Mending does 45% increased healing to the initial target.
  • [Crystalline Reflection] Power Word: Shield instantly heals the target for XXXX and reflects 12% of damage absorbed.
  • [Words of the Pious] For 12 sec after casting Power Word: Shield, you deal 10% additional damage and healing with Smite and Holy Nova.
  • [Body and Soul] Power Word: Shield and Leap of Faith increase your target’s movement speed by 40% for 3 sec.
  • [Benevolence] Increases the healing of your spells by 3%.

Through testing I’ve confirmed that as an Oracle Priest casting Prayer of Mending, both Body and Soul, and Words of the Pious activate. That makes me assume that Assured Safety from Oracle Priest essentially counts as casting a Power Word: Shield when casting Prayer of Mending. That’s pretty huge to have all of the extra healing and buffs going out. Especially when our 4 piece tier next season is going to give us instant cast Prayer of Mending through bonus Insight stacks every time we use Premonition. Additionally, all of the stacking healing with the fat tier set bonus up front healing will make it so we get a spammable instant cast hard hitting spell at our finger tips. That’s craaaaaazy.

Also, nerf Disc Priest, it’s still too strong in 5 man content and will most likely be the meta along with R Druid this coming season.

Though yes, we’ll be running all of this except maybe words of the pious/body and soul in all content. We really just get the tier set heal to bolster it now. Basically makes PoM about as good as lightweaver heal is.
